wellllll..... i spoke a bit too soon. just found some kitten poop in the kitchen. maybe she needs some more training. i think i'll look for that 'kitten attract' litter at the pet store tomorrow when i'm out.

Firefox went pee and poop independently in her litterbox [after i completely changed out the wbcl for the cat attract!]

however, i now have three different containers of litter - a new box of tidy cats, a bag of wbcl, & a 20-lb bag of cat attract... guess i won't need to buy litter for a while, huh?

just got back from Firefox's 2nd appt... she now weighs 12.5 ounces!

& has tapeworms

so she got a shot for that. i have yet to see a flea, or tapeworm eggs

since my skin problem is bacterial, & i'm on antibiotics, they also gave me some for her, & said to continue the polysporin ointment on her.

well, i gave my baby her 3rd bath today, this time w/anti-bacterial soap, because it seemed to really help my skin condition to use it. she's lost a lot of hair from the backs of her ears! so, i called the vet, because i thought they said they had done a skin scraping way back at the 1st appt, but they didn't do any kind of culture

we're going in tomorrow, & they want some hair samples to check.

she weighed a pound today

up from 9 ounces 4 weeks ago. she has both ringworm & a bacterial skin infection [like me, the 2nd one] but both are improving & i'm seeing some hair regrowth. she got her 2nd tapeworm treatment, & she has another appt in 2 weeks. she's also preferring the adult's wet food to her own. the only difference between the two is the formula i'm still adding to hers. i don't think i'll buy anymore after this is gone, since she prefers it w/o. i just thought she could use the extra calories.

Firefox had a vet visit today. she weighed 1 pound, 13 ounces

got some kitten shots, & has another visit in 3 weeks. i also talked to the vet about Java. she offered to see her this afternoon, but i really can't afford another visit... especially since she's eating, drinking, & gaining again. i'm waiting another week to see on her.
but the vet was just amazed at Firefox - said she didn't look like the same kitten! she's had lots of hair regrowth, her skin looks good, etc.
