I've just bought a laptop and unlike my pc TCS doesn't cover the full screen and is a lot smaller in everyway (Picture below).

Any ideas how i can have it full screen?

It looks to me like you have a Wide Screen Moniter, and that may be why you're not getting a more full page. Can you play DVD's on it? It's probably perfect for movies. You could probably set your moniter at a higher resolution, which will make things even smaller, but will probably show more of TCS.

I'm assuming that since you have a brand new computer, it's probably a Windows Vista instead of XP. I personally am not familiar with Vista, but the way you do it on XP is left click on your desktop and bring up Properties. There are several tabs, such as Themes, Desktop, Screensaver, Appearance, and Settings. You click on Settings, and you can change your resolution that way.

I just saw a mistake on my part. I honestly don't know my right from my left, unless I write something, and what I meant to say, was you "RIGHT" click not, left click. Sorry.

You change screen resolution by right clicking on the desktop and picking "Properties" and then "Settings" Tab.

However, flat screen monitors have what is called an "optimal resolution", and that is what you should have your screen set to.

So far as the way TCS displays on your screen, that is how it supposed to display. The site is made for a resultion that is far larger than what newer monitors are set for. So you will have lots of blank space on either side of the threads.

No worries. I'll try this tomorrow night with my mouse because this is taking me ages to work out sliding my fingers across that pad thing

You should hook up your mouse to the laptop. Same principal as hooking it up to the desktop. Plug it into the USB port and reboot. When I had my laptop I used a mouse and disabled that touch pad. It was too annoying to try and work with and impossible if you are trying to work with graphics like I do.

I thought that's what I said, but who knows. I corrected my left click thing.

Another thing is, that you may mess up the view of how your movies look on the laptop if you change the settings that your resolution is set to. So, be careful. I've played with the resolution a few times and messed up how things appear.

To be honest i don't think i'll use it to play dvd's?. As long as i can get the TCS screen larger i'll be a happy bunny

It just seems to be TCS though?. I went into my photobucket account and my online banking to check those and they were full screen?

I'll get the mouse plugged in tonight and try everything that's been said.
