Another Newbie!

Hello! I am SO GLAD that I found this site, and I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to the rest of you kitty people. My name is Kim and I'm a SAHM to 3 kids and 2 fur babies. I grew up with kitties as pets, and am a bit cat crazy, but everyone loves me anyway. We adopted a gorgeous kitty named Calvin from a local shelter 4 years ago and have since given him to my parents because my dad has alzheimers and his dr's thought it would be good for him, and it has been. We get to see Calvin whenever we want, and he LOVES being with my parents who have nothing better to do than wait on him hand and foot. (or paw and paw?)

Anyway, we recently adopted another shelter baby this week, and have had a VERY rough start due to some illness. We love him already and I can't wait to watch him grow and learn and become a special part of our family. His name is Oliver and he's a tuxedo cat.

I also want to thank all of you that offered support and advice when I posted in the health section re: Oliver's illness. I love this site so far and I look forward to getting to know some of you and to learning all I can to make Oliver a very happy and healthy kitty!

Hello & welcome to the forum. Look forward to hear all about Oliver & hope he's on the mend My aunt had a cat called Oliver about 45 yrs ago & when she got home from work he had destroyed her house on many occassions She must have given him away bc I don't remember him being around for long.

Any who..maybe when you get a chance you cna post some photos of ur kit(s) we just photos here!

Its great here, theres always lots to do, see and learn it can become a bit of an addiction but dont worry you are among good company

I hope Oliver is well I'll check your threads out about him. Once you get settled, maybe you could post some photos of him we just love photos here

Wow! Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes!

I've been on this site at least an hour so far this morning. Hehe... I'm just reading and reading. LOL

Poor Oliver isn't feeling well again today..he started vomiting/diarrhea again last night, so if he isn't better by tomorrow then back for another IV he goes.

Bonnie~I'm about 1.5 hours from Columbia, in Kirksville. Are you in MO also?

Nope, just from there Albany ... have relatives all over the state Don't know Kirksville though. Good to have you here!
