How many of you have other animals aside from cats?

It seems like a lot of people out there have other animals, aside from kitties. So it got me wondering...what other animals,kitties aside, do you have if you have any? how old are they/what are their names?? If you do not have any other animals but would love to have one- what kind would you like and why??

I have 2 dog in addition to our kitties living with us. Fosters is an Australian Shepherd- he's around 3 years old and is just this amazing bundle of energy!! Whiskey is a Carolina Dog- he's around 4-5 years old and is a total sweetheart!!! Both are adult rescues!

We also have a betta named, Blue Tattoo -he's about a year or so old-we're not sure.

When i moved out of my mom's house my mom kept my rabbit (sophie- blue holland lop), our dsh Abilene, and our wolf mix, Ginger I also left the 80 gallon and 10 gallon fish tanks there with her (those are her babies!! )


At the moment, I also have our wonderful foster dog, Norris- he's a Jindo and one of my coworkers guessed him to be around 4 years when he came into the shelter origionally-but i think he's really around 2-3 years.


What other animals do you have??

Karma - lab/greyhound mix... wow she's almost 4 now...
Buddha - newfoundland/lab mix... 3 years
Darwin and Chaplin the goldfish.... 3 years and 6 months respectively
Plecky the Bristlenose Pleco... about 2 years? ish?
4 Oto Cats... hmm couple of months old
and a whole lotta guppies

We have Blaze(orange and female) who is about 2 now
and Bandit(Akita mix male) who is about a year and a half.

1 beautiful and mad rabbit (5 yrs old!)-Silky

3 gorgeous tarantulas- Rosy,Humphrey and Bernadette

7 slinky snakes (actually my sssisters)- They have long names!

2 hungry lizards (sisters...again!)- Ferdie and Flash

1 hoppy toad (sisters!)- Darwin

4 happy little budgies- Buddy, Geordie, Snowy and Icy

1 wild cat (she's so lovely) PICKLE!!!

Aww i love rabbits! What kind of bun is Silky?? Our Sophie is a blue holland lop

I have 11 cockatiels and their ages range from somewhere over 11 years old to a few months old. I will try to go oldest to youngest LOL... There is JayJay and Jackie (my little old married couple )... Precious, Baby, Dakota, Jasper, Layla, Cosmo, Zazu, Luna, and then the baby Teasel aka Tiki. I don't know the exact ages of the oldest (JayJay and Jackie) because my dad got them from an older couple and I never got the exact ages.

I also have a blue and gold macaw named Charlie who is around 4 or so. I am horrible with remembering exact ages. I have had him since he was around 7 months old.

I have 13 bettas and 5 apple snails and 2 cats.

Too many...

3 leopard geckos

No other animals yet... just our Roxie...

BF and I have been looking into adding another kitty and a puppy to our family but right now we just don't have the time they deserve... We are taking the LSAT in September and studying has consumed all of our time...

We have decided to wait until around Thanksgiving time to add our new family members, this way the LSAT and all our law school applications have been sent out. Things will slow way down and we will have plenty of time to devote to new babies!

We have been looking at getting a Rottwieler, Pit Bull or a Boxer... it's a hard decision though since they are all such great dogs! I think we may end up with the Boxer though, BF really has a soft spot for them

As for a kitty, I think we are going to get a male this time since I think another female would not especially thrill Roxie. We will be going to the same lady we adopted Roxie from so basically whichever baby steals our heart is coming home with us!

Gee, the more I talk about it the more excited I get!!! I soo wish I had the time now but I know it's the right thing to wait..

If I had it my way I would take home every cute animal I see!!

I have a five year old pug Named Maddie May...... and Bijou of course!

Besides the cat brats I have a cockatiel named Pepsi (our 5yr old named him ) And Jake, a Vizsla

Scoobie-basset hound-3yrs

3 redeared sliders turtles 4yrs

2 gold fish 4yrs

1 green iguana- Baby age unknown at least 8yrs old

1 waterdragon- Lizzie age unknown we've had her 2yrs

Well, before today I couldn't have claimed any other animals, but my mom gave me a 1 year old half Arab colt (horse) as a graduation present. Yea!! I told her that I was probably going to get a horse at the end of the summer, but she decided to give me Stormy.

Well...

we have 2 labs
coca (chocolate) and jasmine (black) They think they are lap dogs and they weigh more than me

Then there is the guniea pigs
Mama and baby(baby is a year and a half, and mama is 2-3 yeards old)

Then there is sugar, my bunny! She is around 9 years old! With all the animals we have now, she has been here the longest And she is going strong

And well of course there is the 6 cats

No kidding! Everytime I go into the Petco near me I want to come home with every small rodent type, bunny, crab, or bird! No fish for me because I'm terrified of them dying in a short period of time, and then I'd have to do something about it myself! I need pets that live a lot longer.

Anyway, aside from my 2 kitty-babies, I have one dog (who is also my sister) named Lady who lives in Florida with my Dad. She's 15, will be 16 in August, and in really good health for he age! She went to the vet on Thursday, and got a clean, if expensive, bill of health! Essentially, all we found out is that she's old and cranky!

However, I do spend a lot of time (well, not as much since I moved ) with my 2 kitty-nephews Mouser and Minion, and my dog-niece, Jinx. They are my sister's babies.
