was a riot! for once we had fun at the vet! he's been going to the specialist since january when he got really sick. So, we were taking a nap on the couch before the ride. I was sleeping on my side and he was sleeping up my butt. Then Luxor came and stood on him so we got up.
Then I brought out his flashy red rolly carrier and he jumped right in. we always bring treats and a toy for him when we go. so anthony and i and stoli took the 5 minute ride to the specialist.
we walk in with him and the receptionist says, 'HI STOLI!!!!' and then a tech comes out and says 'we've been mentally preparing for you all day!'
anthony and i just look at each other and wonder what the heck happened last time we were here?!?
So, we go into the room and wait for his dr. her tech comes in and was going to take him right back out for his physical and give him his shots. well, we stated we weren't sure if we wanted him to have a rabies shot as he's had a 3 year one and we didn't over vaccinate. as i figured, she hemmed and hawed and finally said that the dr. would come out and talk with us.
good.
she came out, we weighed stoli, 8lbs. 15 oz! we discussed rabies and we didn't end up having to give him one. we did decide though that he needed his 1 year boosters for the other stuff and then he'd be good for that for 3 years. So I scruffed stoli and she gave him the shot. He hissed 3 times in the whole visit i was so proud!.
So we chatted after that and she sat on the floor with him. we gave him treats and his toy and he rolled around on his back under the exam table. we asked about having the 'physical' so we knew how his teeth were etc.
the dr. says, 'oh, i just saw his teeth they're beautiful. . ' we all laughed because when stoli hisses he's just like a little serpent.
all in all it probably was his best vet visit ever.
