I grew up in Tennessee so I wasn't very excited when my BF and I decided to go to Gatlinburg for our vacation. But it was so much better seeing the scenery as an adult--you have a greater appreciation for it. So I wanted to share my pics with those of you that have never experienced the Smoky Mountains. We also stopped by Ghost Town in Maggie Valley, NC on the way back home. After many years of operation, this amusement park closed (few years back). Someone has bought it and fixed it back up and today was only the fifth day of operation since; no rides were open, but they had shows. It was set back in the old west days. I loved it!! But, the only way to get to the park, which is on the very top of a mountain, is by chairlift. I am sooooooooo scared of heights, I cannot believe I did it! But, I kept my eyes closed all the way up and all the way down--I had little 4 year olds laughing at me
. But, my BF took a pic of the scenery on the way back down so that I could see it on my own time. Also, I included pics of the "donkey" he won me at Dollywood. I hope you enjoy...
Oh!! I almost forgot! We went to this place called "Wonder Works"--it was sooooo cool!! Its building looks like it crashed upside down into the parking lot--check it out!!
