Do your cats ever get into fights over you?

Any fights my cats ever seem to get into seem to be over me like if im petting 1 another cat will come by for some pets also and the one that im petting will wack the one that comes by etc...

anyone else gota deal with this?

Whats really annoying is ill be sleeping and one cat will sleep on top of me and then the other cat will get jealous and attack the sleeping and i got a cat fight on top of me in the middle of the night

My Chay is a jealous little booger...can't pet his brother without him butting in wanting some love too! I'll pet his brother Billy and start a fight - Chay will "go" for Billy's throat and start a wrestling match to prove he loves his mom more!

Three out of the 4 cats we have don't fight over me, but they fight over my mom!! Two of them fight over her when she is on the couch and they take turns laying on her. The other one tells her when it is time for bed and won't go to bed until she is in bed...

Cairo and Paris fight over me. Paris will attack Moscow if she feels he's getting too much attention or if he comes to me when it's "her" time. Oddly, when I want peace and love and adorable affection between the two of them, I just check my voicemail over speakerphone. I have no idea what this does to them, but they instantly get all affectionate with eachother and cuddle up for a couple hours after.

mine don't fight so much as pout. Punkin loves to be loved. Sneakers loves to be loved but likes his alone time, too. When Punk is curled up in my lap, Sneak likes to walk over to the sofa, put his front paws up and look at me with his big gold eyes. I try to call him up but he knows Punk is there. Every once in a great while, Sneak will hop up, touch noses with Punk and then hop over us and into the window sill where I swear he sulks. As soon as Punk hops down, Sneak curls up beside me all lovey-dovey.

no, the cats are not "fighting over you" in a human/emotional sense.. they are fighting over "territory", and you're "territory" to them and that's all.

It is so funny to watch her do that. She doesn't even belong to my mom. She is suppose to be my dad's cat, but he doesn't pay much attention to her so she has latched herself onto my mom.

Tomas will act jealous if I'm holding Sho. I'm not sure that this is completely a territorial behavior because Tomas is convinced I always have food.
He also still acts very much like a young kitten, needing to be touched and reassured a lot.

Sho could care less, as long as his back and above his tail gets scratched.

(.....EW Sho just sneeze all over my arm, and now he's rubbing his nose off on me. )

I could be at the computer, probably on TCS, and Leya will be on the bed minding her own business sleeping. Enzo, will come in and knock her off the bed if he see's me walk over and pet her!!! He's such a meanie! He's a momma's boy and doesn't like sharing!!! In fact, he's laying on the desk right now....wanting to be pet of course!

My beloved Pandi would show extreme protest toward other people, try to start a fight over me! Sweety would try to make Eric jealous by running to me when he would come home! Basically I probably am enough for one cat to handle, so far it seems they have been single kitties as far as cat count!

My two kittens fight over who gets to sit in the spot below my chin when I sit on the couch. Usually both of them will curl up there, but sometimes one of them gives up and curls up on my lap instead.
