Thin Spaghetti Noodles
Chips
Smart Heart (that healthy butter- it's good!)

Bread from the bakery
Deli lunch meat
Vitamin D milk (for Colin
Lactaid Fat Free milk (for me
)
Freschetta Frozen Pizzas
Minced black olives

I am the same way with fruit as you are it seems
I won't decide what I want till I'm there, then I pick from what looks the best. It's hard to find a grocery store that has good fruit.. I go to a grocery store that is high priced for my fruit, and a low priced store for everything else.

Those bags of chicken are great

I don't eat as healthy as you, but I've always loved unthawing those chicken breasts, and following the recipe on the back of a Campbell's Cream of Mushroom can.. rice, chicken and that cream of mushroom in a dish.. super simple and always good.

Good question... I had a list in my head of stuff I needed to pick up tomorrow, but I seem to have forgot most of it.

some stuff was...
pop - Dr. Pepper and Pepsi
shasta soda
juice
fresh spinach
fresh mushrooms
onions

..maybe some lunch meat from the store deli, depends on their prices. And whatever mysteriously jumps in the cart while I have my back turned. (I make DH go grocery shopping with me because he's picky.
)

I just bought groceries the week before last, so aside from stuff to drink and fresh veggies, we're good here.

Perfect for the hot humid summer: (unless you hate these fruits)

Watermelon juice: 2 cups watermelon, 1/2-1 cup water, 1 tray ice cubes, then blend. Works with milk, too.

Papaya shake: same but use papaya & milk instead, add 1 tablespoon condensed milk, blend.

Just made asparagus at home for the first time ever. It was sooo good: drizzle in olive oil, salt, pepper, roast in oven 10 min.

I love my grocery list for the week:

NOTHING!

We're headed out on vacation so no cooking for me! We did pick up some frozen pizza and things for our house sitter, but I don't have to cook that!

Well..I got back from the grocery store around 10 (my niece went with me and we just made a night of it
we're soo lame
) i definitely wound up with more than was on my origional list
(when i got to my sisters house i looked though some of her lit & fit cooking magazines and found a few recipes i wanted to try so i added more.)

Uhhh fast foward to a few minutes ago- i made some sort of Chinese Pork n' Noodles out of that magazine and wow....umm interesting
i can't decide if it's good or bad.I should really stop attempting to cook Asian food. I can do Vietnamese food faily well (Colin's 1/2 Vietnamese so every time we visit his parents i LOVE to cook with his mom and learn) Chinese food...well that's another story! I should really stick to Russian and Italian foods

Lot and lots! I decided to do some bulk cooking and freezing this weekend so I bought stuff to make my favourite meals:

8 chicken breasts
whole tomatoes
diced tomatoes
tomato sauce
artichoke hearts
bamboo shoots
water chestnuts
canned salmon
canola oil
bunch of cat food
couple bags of cat litter
shampoo
benadryl
spare ribs
stirfry beef
ground turkey
bacon
ground beef
capers
worchestershire sauce
marjoram
decaf coffee
milk
eggs
egg whites
cottage cheese
yogurt
parmasean cheese
fozen berries
frozen veggies
rice
oatmeal
3 gallons distilled water (for my CPAP machine)
lettuce
tomatoes
cherry tomatoes
oranges
apples
bananas
pears
mushrooms
green pepper
green onion
white onion
potatoes
carrots
red wine
white wine
orange juice concentrate
pearl onions
shallots
bread
spiral pasta
egg noodles
alcan aluminum foil

The shame of it all is that while my cupboard and fridge are full right now, both will be pretty much empty by tomorrow or Sunday because I'll have used it all up to make my frozen meals.

But once I have my meals made and frozen, future shoppings for the next couple of months will be really cheap.... fresh produce, milk/dairy and cat related stuff.

Things I forgot to buy:
dinner rolls
turkey lunch meat
alfalfa sprouts
soy ice cream
jam
lamb chops
smoked salmon
cucumber
raddish
sugar snap peas
trash bags

Romaine & red leaf lettuce, baby carrots, walnuts, parmesan, fresh croutons from Whole Foods Market, Briana's red wine vinaigrette dressing, fresh corn if it smells just right... and for dessert, whatever berries look good.

Have to do this in two trips as the basket on the electric cart is smaller and so there is less to carry. Beginning of the month so had to get toilet paper and we are almost out of paper plates. (Large size lasts 3-4 months.) What else - ice cream and sherbet, apple sauce, chocolate (seems to be on every list
), personal hygiene products, items from the bakery clearance rack (ice sugar cookies!), juice, and grapes. Tomorrow I get the rest of the items we need (frozen entrees and other things).
