Hey Starryeyedtiger, do you take Metformin for your PCOS? My PCOS caused a lot of my fertility issues. Metformin really helped.
no, i've never heard of it? My doctor did switch my birth control pill to Yaz though for all the cramping, bloating, etc to help me along that time of the month when i need it. She said that i will likely need to take some pills to help us concieve (if that doesn't work then ivf and other things are options). What is Metformin? What does it do as far as PCOS goes if you don't mind me asking? I'm new to all of this as i just found out i had it a few months ago. I do have a prescription for Ponstel that i take for the severe cramping when i need it though.

I found out about my PCOS when I was trying to concieve. My fertility doctor discovered it and said that PCOS is a possible precurser to diabetes. Metformin is a med for diabetes. I took it (btw - helped me lose weight) and used interuterine insemination to get pregnant the 1st time. I am currently off the Metformin due to breastfeeding, but am supposed to start it again when I stop with the breastfeeding.

Here is an interesting article on it. http://www.docguide.com/news/content...10&highlight=0

Thanks - he is my special little blessing, a gift and never ever will be be considered an accident or mistake (even though we weren't planning on having him so close to Kevin). At least it saved money on fertility treatments! My sister's hubby called their 2nd child a mistake, but then again he is a jerk.

i strongly believe that no child is ever a mistake. everyone is put here for a reason
so i agree with you. / most of my sisters had their kiddos back to back as well- and the neat thing about that is getting to watch them grow up together especially when they're soo close in age
my mom had my oldest sis 18 years before me, my middle sister kimmy 9 years before me - and my sister on my dads side is 8 years older than me. I wish i were closer in age to some of them. i'm more close in age to some of my nieces (especially terri- she's only 11 months younger than me) than i am to my sisters. eithor way we are all VERY close though

I had my gallbladder out, and took a week off school. I felt better and could have gone back sooner though. I hated the pain from passing a stone! I was told it was just as bad if not worse than labor pains! I was passing them so much I had my surgery date moved up! You'll be glad you did!

They say kidney stones are as bad as labor pains as well...After having kidney stones, I decided if that is a true statement, I am never having children lol!

I had endoscopic gallbladder surgery. It was quick, I had only three band-aids on my tummy when I woke up and any pain I felt was sooooo much better than the gallstone attacks. Good luck. Sending lots of vibes and

Adrienne,

There are 2 ways of doing this surgery and if you go ahead and have it done before your gall bladder erupts, (or something like that), then you can have the laproscopy where they go in through your navel and recovery time is only about 4 or 5 days. The other type of surgery is 6 to 8 weeks recuperation time. I say, from experience having had the short duration recovery surgery myself, go for the elective surgery instead of waiting for an emergency gallbladder attack. Just my opinon.
