It's Friday!

No big plans, probably just more work in the yard. But we apparently have a decent chance for RAIN!

How about another food holiday? I like.... potato salad.

Going to be a real scorcher here today, just a little past 8:30 and it is already hazy and humid, they are forcasting thunderstorm for tonight so maybe that will cool it down a bit. Heading off to work shortly, but am hoping for a fairly easy day. Got caught up on everything yesterday so today is coasting day.
All this talk of food has me already planning dinner ideas, I thinking cold cuts and some yummy salads.
The kitties are lounging in the window watching whatever catches their fancy. They decided to tear around the house earlier this morning so they could conserve their energy when it get hotter.
Hope everyone has a good one...

Morning/Afternoon all!

A young starling on its first flight out of the nest rested on my windowsill this morning. I pointed him out to Radar, thinking that he would like to go and ogle the bird through the window, but he was too busy begging me for a bit of my lunch to even notice
Radar, are you a cat or not?

Well, today I remember my umbrella (it is an Eeyore one) so hopefully I won't get soaked like I did yesterday. I really don't feel like working today, but hey, that's why the pay me the big bucks...wait...I don't get the big bucks, I only get the medium to small bucks.

Made the mistake last night of having a gravol and a Tylonel 3. I was in pain from my gall stone and nauseated for some reason. The combo of the 2 drugs have made my head very fuzzy this morning. Even a jumbo cup of tea has not cleared it up yet. Oh well - only 7 more hours to home time.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Aside from that, no plans for the day. It's yet another gray, rainy day.

Have a great day everyone!
Good Luck

Morning all! Another glorious day here! Stay off of those sidewalks, Nat - you don't get extra points for pedestrians!
And make sure to get all hotted up when you pick up your new wheels!

good morning again

I'm back from the interview. I think I did fine, but somehow I got the impression that the guy wasn't that impressed. Actually, from the questions he asked, it seemed like he hadn't really bothered to read my resume.

Anyways, even if I'm wrong and I do get offered the job, I'm not taking it. It took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there this morning! They start work at 8am usually, so I'd have to leave home at 6:30am, and I'd get back home around 6:00-6:30pm.

no thanks.

So I'm still unemployed

I hope Nat is only aiming for the cute guys when she is driving!!
Foogy and humid this am-I plan on actually working sometime yet today though-catching up on the endless paperwork.
Rain off and on for the next several days-the half inch we got yesterday wasn't enough.

Hopefully something better will come along. Have you tried www.jobbank.gc.ca yet? They usually have good postings.
