Irritated/Balding Nose?

I don't really know how to describe what's going on with Pekoe's nose... it seems to be going bald right at the spot where the pink (normally bald) area joins the "furred" area. Does that make sense? Here's a picture if it helps any.



Does anyone have any idea what's going on/how to fix it? It's been like this for awhile now and hasn't gone away, so is it time for the vet?

I would ask the vet. Have you caught him licking his nose at all? I have seen that in cats that are getting some discharge from their nose. They clean it up real quick, I never saw any "snot", just caught them licking it and associated that with the bald spot.
