Cute things your cat/kitty does...

I don't know if there is a thread for this topic already but I was just wondering about some of the cute things/habits your cat or kitten does. Earlier, I was washing the dishes and Charlotte climbed up me, sat on my shoulder, and watched me. It was the cutest thing. And right now as I type this she is swatting my fingers and the keys, nibbling me, and trying to climb on the keyboard. So cute. Shes a feisty one.

I've mentioned this here before: BJ "hugs" me. When I come home from work, most of the crew are at the door; BJ stands up on his hind legs, front paws on my thighs, looking up at me, and emits his "I want hugging" meow. I then say, "Hug?", and pick him up; he then wraps his front legs around my neck, and nuzzles my cheek. He also does this many other times during the day; if he forgets when I come home, I ask him, "Where's my HUG today?", and he obliges. No wonder his nicknames are: Sir Hugs-a-Lot, Hugsley, Huggy-Bear Boy! He's such a sweetheart--he's a gray Maine Coon--which I think makes what he does even cuter.

Smudge (his brother, and a black Maine Coon) sleeps in the crook of my right arm in bed. He demands constant petting (not so cute at 3AM). He adores the sound of his name; he wriggles delightedly sideways on any flat surface when I call him by his name.

Willi has a dear little chirp in his purring when I pet him--you have to be close to him to hear it--it's so distinctive, I know who he is even in the dark.

Little Miss is a very petite little tabby lady. She's taken a liking to my big, sturdy husband--this makes it even funnier! At night and in the morning, she comes out of nowhere when H is ready to undress or dress, as he does this at the foot of our bed, and she knows, if she walks back and forth there, he'll pet her. She then revs up her engine (she had a very loud purr for a tiny thing). She waits outside his bathroom door when he's showering, as she knows "Daddy" will be out by the foot of the bed soon. (She actually goes to him when I tell her to "Go to Daddy!"). Also, when he calls, she hears his voice on the phone/voicemail, and starts rubbing up near the phone.

Loki has a foot fetish for H's big feet! He waits for H to remove his shoes when he comes home, and then starts rolling and rubbing on them!

Abby is so cute when she uses the kitty litter. She hates to get her paws dirty and when I first got her at 4 months, she would tentatively step into the litter box and scoot to a corner and try and perch on the side of the box with all 4 paws with her butt hanging over the box. She couldn't quite balance that way so she resigned herself to having 1 paw in the box and 3 on the side of the box, and then she leaps out. The only unfortunate thing is that she sometimes forgets to turn around and ends up going over the edge of the box instead. For the most part she gets it right, but she is also an "edger" and tends to squat close to the edge so if I'm in there I gently push her butt more inside the box so she doesn't pee on the edge.

Chynna taps me on the leg to let me know she wants to be picked up and cuddled. She's too old and fat to jump up on me, and I'm heavy and don't have much of a lap for her to jump onto, so she taps me. It's quite cute, except when I'm in the bathroom and she's sitting there tapping me. I live alone and I have virtually no privacy, LOL

Right now, as I try to type, Pekoe is sitting on my lap staring directly into my eyes with a look that demands love and affection. Seriously, he's looking at me all intently, yet dreamy, demanding that I stop typing and pay more attention to him.

Sitting like a human being!

Tiger lets me know when he's getting sleepy. Unlike Ziltoid, who will just go curl up in his bed and sleep. Tiger comes up to me and starts meowing in the "I am distressed" way until I pick him up and put him in my lap. Then he'll worm his way up to my shoulder and sleep there for hours. I can walk all around the house and he'll stay there sleeping.

He's so adorable! I don't want to give him up in two weeks.

My calico Josie tells me when it's time to go to bed. She knocks down the phone, paws at my let and meows when I'm too late on the computer.

Peaches has a brown crochet mousie that she carries around in her mouth and talks to. She takes it upstairs and downstairs, wherever she is going to be.

Paisley drops and rolls whenever she sees me so that I will pet her.

Arthur stares with his big blue eyes and looks lonely.
