So after having some gas issues with "chicken soup" i've made the change to "Wellness, indoor formula" for the boys. I got them a couple cans of wet and a trial size of the dry to see if they like it......anyone else use this? Its kinda expensive so i was just wondering what anyone else pays for wellness and how they like it.

Not sure about the price for the dry, but my cats eat the wet. I pay .99-1.03 for a 5.5oz can, or 1.69-1.99 for a 12.5oz can...it varies depending on which store I go to.

My cats like it a lot, I'm very happy with it.

My cats love the grain and fish free varieties. Here the 5.5oz. cans are $1.49. I don't buy the 3oz. cans. I have never seen the 12.5oz cans in cat food, only in dog food.

We use Wellness. I order it online at Petfooddirect.com. I get several cases at a time. If you look for coupons on the net, you can usually offset the shipping charges. The least expensive way is the 12.5 oz can which is 4 meals for one cat. I don't get the little cans as they are more money.

I hope your cats continue to enjoy Wellness. It's an excellent food.

I did, only my boys liked it.. my girl prefers California naturals.. i have since stopped no problems or anything just i found it quite pricey at least here, i can get even a grain free[oirjen] cheaper than the wellness so i just decided to remove it from the rotation.

My cats aren't crazy about Wellness dry so we'll try California Natural after this bag is gone, but they love the non-fish flavors of canned. Love. As in, they remind us every thirty seconds from about two hours before dinnertime until we feed them. My husband has had them learn tricks to get what they crave. They can "sit" and "beg" and they also reach out and touch what they want.

We have a local feed store that carries it. We're lucky that way.

When I adopted Stoli about a year ago, we switched him onto Wellness kitten and chicken and lobster wet, and any other Wellness wets that weren't real fishy. He would eat it every day and LOVE it, I mean love it. But after about six months of eating it, all of a sudden one day he just refused. And of course this was after we purchased a case of wet food from pet food direct. So, it's still sitting in our closet and here and there we give him a taste and it wasn't until yesterday that he would eat any. It's about 1.20 per can around here and it's not too much more expensive than other brands of food and I feel he eats less and feels full faster on Wellness.

So, my advice is if your kitties like Wellness wet, don't be afraid to rotate other foods too (wet) because sometimes they get sick of a style of food. Stoli also eats a mixture of Wellness Kitten and Core and Luxor eats the salmon flavored dry wellness. We bought big bags so they were between 15 and 18 dollars each. But they last forever! No one has gotten sick of their dry food - knock on wood!

we tried it. one of my cats isn't crazy about the wellness indoor dry. we're going back to all nutro dry when it's gone. i stopped feeding it for a while, but now i'm trying leaving out a serving of only nutro for stimpy. and give the other 2 a mix. this is terrible, but the bag was so expensive i would really like the cats to finish it. the bag i bought was $16.99 for 5lbs. i won't be buying it again, it's very expensive and i would have to mail order. nutro dry is more budget friendly for us, and everyone agrees on nutro.

I just switched to Wellness last week too. Little Kitty was having severe diarrhea on Science Diet, and I think I've isolated the problem to either a grain or gluten allergy. Since he has been on Wellness grain-free canned, he has done just fine. I believe $1.03 for the medium-sized can is what I paid.

Oh... one thing I wanted to mention... I wrote to Wellness (Old Mother Hubbard) about which of their canned foods were grain-free. I wasn't sure since some cans were marked that way and others weren't (you know how packaging is-- sometimes they change it and fail to mark it clearly). This was their reply today:
When Wellness was first introduced, they were all grain-free. However, when we brought the "fishier" ones in the group i.e. Salmon & Trout, Sardine, Shrimp & Crab and Chicken Lobster, consumers were calling stating these formulas were much soupier than the others. In turn, that is why we added grains to these formulations.
