My pink moment of the day was getting to help deliver Trina's babies!!!
(one of the yellow lab x's at our shelter)

They were just lovely too! She had already had 4 when i left for work and i'm estimating anywhere from 6-8 (vet said the same thing!) so i'm sure she's had more since i've left. I also got a really nice comment from our vet that does our spay/neuters at our shelters saying i should be a mid wife

here's her picture! she's on the front page of our website - obviously no foster homes came foward though -so instead she got special treatment and got to have them in our bathroom at the shelter in a big kiddy pool with lots of blankies
(i'd take her home with me but i have Norris and Fancy at the moment) The babies were just lovely too! She was several days late- so since it was thurs (our spay/neuter day) we were going to do a c-section on her since she was soo late if she didn't start poping those babies out by the time we got back from lunch. When we got back though- she was in labor!
So no c-section necessary!
She is SUCH a good momma too!!!

Thank you! No, not from Kent State -- this first reviewer was a Dr. Edgar F. Raines, Jr., from near Washington, DC, who is apparently quite an authority. He's published some books himself, as well as doing reviews for historical journals and such. His field seems to be artillery and aviation, which is exactly my father's focus (in the period covered by this book, anyway).

We haven't received the other report yet, so we don't know who the second reviewer is. The reviews are anonymous unless the reviewers want the authors to know who they are... which Raines did. Gosh, we need to send him a thank-you letter!

I love this pink thread idea!
Thank you, Icklemiss!

My PINK thing for today is one purring, fuzzy, sleepy fluffball....that keeps grunting in his sleep. If I move away from him, he moves towards me.
: I'm madly in love with Figaro & I've only had him 5 hours!
He'll be hard to let go.

Bakker was guarding my tools last night when I was weeding-it was so cute!!
Then my big shrub rose is blooming very nicely and its foggy and humid and when I walked to get newspaper this morning the scent filled the air.
Plus Neil called and our godson's baseball team made it to sectional playoff's!! He is one of the two pitchers on the team and had a really good game-He plays next week about 90 miles away so we are waiting for the time and might road trip to watch him!!

Nuh uh...might give me away!
Figuring out when I'll be going home is going to be easy today, so I'm PINK! Brandon and I typically carpool to work, but because he has to leave earlier, we drove separately. It's nice to be in control of that.

Not to mention I don't have to deal with his scary driving.

It took a while for Charlie to get used to Tristan as he doesn't like strangers very much, but he's been doing very well for ages now as they pretty much see eachother at least twice a week, if not more for almost two years. My pink moments are everytime Chucky climbs onto Tristan when we're curled up in bed and adopts him as 'dad'

nabu woke me up by yelling in my ear, then crawling under the covers and purring like a motorboat.
it was very cute.
he's a very loud cat.

stimpy ate breakfast with me, and managed to dip his tail in the peanut butter on my toast.
very silly.

raven was his usual sweet self before work.

and the hubby & i seem to have figured out the whole --moving--new car--repair the pontiac-- thing finally. so i feel about 1000x better than yesterday. we're both in a much better mood, and that makes me happy.
