I'm pink because my friend Jose returned safe and sound from his 4th deployment (Special Forces) in Iraq last night, and we'll almost definitely get to see him in August and hopefully in July too!

I'm pink because my friend Abby and I are getting lunch tomorrow!

I'm also pink because Colin and I got 3 of my kitties (Jasmine was previously declawed by a former owner) successfully all soft clawed tonight
(and didn't get any scratches in the process, although Izzy tried
)

i need to preface mine: a couple of weeks ago, i had my windshield replaced. they took off the registration sticker & inspection sticker, then replaced them. they didn't stick really well, so they used blue masking tape to secure them [really attractive!]. the blue tape caught my eye, & i noticed that what i thought was the inspection sticker had expired at the end of february...

so after i had the body work completed, i took it it for an oil change & inspection [the hood wouldn't open before the repairs]. that place informed me that the inspection was fine - it was the registration that was expired!

now, i had updated my registration online, & paid for the sticker. i had received the sticker, as well - but i couldn't find it ANYWHERE!

anyway, today i went online to find out how to get a replacement sticker. [here comes the pink part, btw]. the replacement was only $6.30, plus they had extended hours today - so i'm now driving legally again!

I'm pink today because we had one cat go their new home at the shelter, and another potential adoption!

I'm also pink today because I had art class again tonight and my good streak of getting compliments from the teacher continued. I guess I do have talent after all... Ink is tough though... I kept wanting to play with my lines, but it was still wet...blah! I still had fun...

Talking to a friend who I thought was mad at me. Turned out she wasn't, just wrapped up in a lot of personal stuff, and we made plans to get together this evening.

My pink moment for today is the relief of NOT having to pay over $400 for a prescription and only have to pay $9. Thank God for small miracles...however rare they seem to be.

I also got my IRS stimulus check, direct deposited!! WOOHOO!!! I wasn't expecting it until the 9th. Although it was only 300... I don't make much, so I didn't get a larger check... but hey, I'm not complaining!! It's extra cash!

My day started out blue. It's cool and damp today and that type of weather is really bad for my right ankle which I broke 18 years ago and had surgery on. On days like today I can bearly walk!

But it got pink!!!

I do 3D Graphics and am a member of several 3D art communities. Some of these communities have online stores that you can purchase products that will assist you in your 3D graphics.

I have been doing "beta testing" for several of the thousands of vendors who sell stuff in these stores. There is no pay. It's basically "work for product". In other words, you get to keep what you test. Which sometimes works out great if you like the item you test. But most of it is stuff that I don't care for or wouldn't use in my graphics.

After years of testing, I've managed to get on with a couple of stores. It's still "work for product", but today I got an email from one of the stores that made me very, very happy. The owner has set it up so that their beta testers can purchase anything in the store for 100% off!
That's hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of 3D graphic products that I've been itching to get once I returned to work. Now I don't have to wait. I can get them all today, absolutely FREE!!!

So it's an awful day outside, but nice and pink inside
