He's meowing a lot

Within the last week Bob has started meowing a lot, and he's also been doing other strange things like hiding under and behind the couch. Nothing has changed in the past 6 months since Bickford joined the family. Despite my best efforts at night he's more obnoxious (knocking things over, stealing my glasses if he can find them, making a lot of noise in the living room) than before. He had his annual checkup a couple of months ago and everything came back fine, including bloodwork. He's eating, drinking and using the litterbox just fine. Anyone have any suggestions on what's going on?

It sounds like maybe he is wanting attention. I know some of my cats get mischievous when they need some extra playtime or cuddle time.

Does he have toys to keep him busy? Do you have a regular playtime with a laser pointer or a feather wand?

I have been trying to up the playtime. He loves Da Bird. I'm also wondering (even though he's neutered) if he senses females in the area and wants to see what's going on.
