So...Ladies, when is the last time you cleaned out your purse???

I clean out my purse when I come home. I hate clutter in my purse. I need to get a new purse though. Not that there is anything wrong with the one I have, because it's a good quality leather and in perfect condition, but it's heavy. Even when it's empty it's heavy. I don't carry much in my purse and I don't like carrying a heavy purse. All I carry with me is:

My wallet which is thin and just has my ID and credit/bank cards in it
A small change purse
A small tube of hand cream
My keys
My asthma inhaler
A small pill container with pain/allergy meds in it.

I'm sure I can find a smaller and lighter purse to carry those few items in.

i cleaned mine out around may 14th. we had gotten home from a trip to visit family.

I cleaned my purse out yesterday morning, but only because I was trying to find change for coffee. My purse is big enough to hide an entire colony of gnomes ...

I kind of clean it out every few days, just the reciepts. Other than that I do it when the loose change in the bottom gets too heavy to carry around. I used to never clean out my purses, but I have gotten paranoid ever since I got to work with purse full of cat pee, so I do it way more often.

My purse also has the amazing ability to disassemble any pen put into it (especially those two part click top pens), so the pieces roll around in the bottom with my allergy pills and breathmints.

I switch purses quite a lot so mine gets cleaned out regularly

I don't have to clean my purse often because it is semi-small (coach soho signature bag) all I keep in it is: Checkbook, credit cards, lip plumper, Burts Bees chapstick, my work badge, a tweezers, a pen, and my ipod (80gb...kinda big)...LOL that is all that really fits! I usually go through my receipts once a week and clear that clutter out of the way!

I try to clean mine out every weekend..but try is different than actually doing it

Well, that's easy--I don't carry a purse. I figure if it doesn't fit into my jeans pockets, I don't need it.

ok....so i decided i will be brave later and clean out my purse. i'm kinda scared about what i may find in there i'll have to take pictures i swear, i should weigh my purse the next time i'm at work (we have those huge scales for dogs)

You guys are too funny. How big are these purses you tote around? Mine never gets too bad. Old receipts do add up rather quickly though. I try and go through everything once a week.

-a coupon for free facial cleanser from my favorite place, lush
-a coupon for a free ticket to Pirates 3, only worth $7 and I don't think there's a theater that cheap in existence any more
-lady products
-a receipt with movie times written on it
-a few stray individually wrapped jelly beans
-a tuner
-a metronome
-a pair of sunglasses
-a program for my friend's senior recital
-a postcard from this place I had to go to to pick up things for our gala last week
-An order form for the lush discon round
-a paper I had to write for string methods.

And that's it. Not so terrible, save the papers, postcard and program!

mine isn't super big. this is what mine looks like...mine is black. i used to be a disorganized mess before i got this purse. it has zipper compartments, pen holders, and an internal cell phone slot (which i use for other things). so in the big open area i just have my wallet, pda, coupon organizer and keys. i can fit a book in it if i am going to starbucks.

I clean mine out every few months before I throw it in the wash.

OMG!!! I have serious purse issues. I just cleaned my purse out...and well....there is way too many items for me to list. I think the pictures say it all I had everything in there from white out, guitar picks, to a shiny blue thong oh yes, and please note i normally have my cell phone, and a pair of black flip flips in there as well as well as a wide array of animal medications/etc from the shelter. I took out all the lady products so they're not in the picture. This also does not include the change and animal cracker crumbs in the bottom of my purse....yea i have issues. I dedicate these pictures to everyone (family, Colin, my coworkers) who always say "what on earth do you have in that purse??"

The Purse (burgendy leather one from Wilson Leather- it was origionally $100 something but i got it on sale for $20 )

oh golly, I thought I was bad! Yep, it is time for a clean up - I do wonder what that thong is doing in your purse.

Holy cow! That's a lot of stuff!

I carry three things: ID, debit card, and keys (2) - no purse.

In my purse I have my inhaler, my keys/pepper spray, my wallet, chapstick, and a lighter. Maybe a pen. When I go out, my phone.

LOL at those pictures. How much does that stuff weigh? Why do you have deodorant you can only put on at night in there (I use it too)? Are you staying for a week?
