She is a wonderful vet, very thorough and explains everything as many times as necessary. If she saw something heart related in an xray, she would take the xray to the cardiologist to see if we really needed a sonogram. She even came to the house because my Rainbow Angel Divot went nutz at the vet. She thought it would be easier for him. (It wasn't, but she did try)

She is going somewhere that is too far for us to drive with the cats -- an hour away if there is no traffic.

The practice is getting someone new. We do know the other vet, but he has trouble communication with people. Our cat, Peaches, really likes him. I think she likes men.

We will stay with this practice unless we really dislike the new vet. Our old vet said we can call for a consult anytime we need to.

It's very hard to change. I know the cats would prefer not to see any of them.

I went through something similar last year, but it seems to have worked out for the best. My favorite vet left to start her own practice closer to her home, but further from us. I like the vet who owns the clinic, but he is often gone doing large animals. The other was very new, and the last one was a very, very nice man, but not that good with my cats (technique wise). So I switched to another vet who has a dog with the same heart problem as mine, and liked them, so now everybody goes to them, even though it is a 1/2 drive (in good traffic
). Good luck! It will be okay...
