*shrug* I like being naked.

I don't mind the naked ladies at the gym, although I sometimes feel self-conscious about my own physique in relation to the incredibly toned chicks I see there. Then I just shrug and remind myself that I'm working on my body.

I am soft and flabby and very, very pale. But I don't have to look at me.

TV, movies, even music videos. I think it causes a skewed sense of self in many children of this generation. How many of you have seen little girls dressed like they're "working the corner"? AKA prosti-tots. Think about European concepts of nudity compared to here.

I think people need to get over this idea that nudity is wrong/unnatural. I used to always see older ladies walking around in the pool changeroom nude and it never bothered me. It certainly didn't bother them.
We North Americans are raised to consider nudity to be bad. Europeans are so much cooler about that stuff IMO. If I were in Europe I don't think I'd have a problem with nudity, like nude beaches for example.

I think that's the difference - nudity in North America is "sexual" whereas in most of the rest of the world it is "natural" and I believe this is what makes us uncomfortable with nudity.

Our "dirty little minds" is what makes nudity "bad".

I don't have a problem with it. But then again I've gotten used to it after being around it for 7 or 8 years. Every time I go to the gym I see at least one person naked. And I don't have a problem with being naked in front of other people. I'm comfortable with myself and that's all that matters IMO.

I cannot do it myself. I am one of those people you see going into a stall to change
I am too shy to expose myself in any way.

Other people being nude doesn't bother me. All those bodies in different shapes and sizes. Exact opposite of what we are conditioned to see by the media. Real women and men bodies are just as beautiful as anything in an airbrushed magazine. Every body tells a story.

I undress and dress in the shower.

One night at Summer Camp I decided to run around in the games field .... naked. No one was around, it was pitch black out and I was sort of feeling a little free spirited ....

I have no problem being naked.
Whenever I'm at the pool I just look around and say to myself "We've all got the same things ... " so it's no biggie.

I don't mind being naked in front of women. In front of men, it's a differend story. I am a bit self conscious about my body, but it's gotten easier. Last week there was even a pic of me with just a bikini on in the paper I write for. Definately not a pic someone could recognize me from, though.

I've grown in a sauna culture, so everyone else can show their feminine or masculine parts as much as they like, I'm not bothered. I have no idea why some women get all panicy and grossed out when they see a naked man.

I am such an outgoing person, and have no problem dressing a little provocative, or even going topless at the beach, but I do not like to see a bunch of naked women.... now, it's not a big deal to see a flash of a naked butt while changing at the gym, but I have been to the YMCA & saw a women bending over blow drying her hair when I walked in with my child to change for swimming lessons... I'm sorry, an 8 yr old girl does not need to see a bent over women.... Now, in our own home, I am not as modest, because we are family, so for me to change in front of her is ok.... but I do not want her to have any impression that it's ok for strangers to see you naked.
I agree with you Nat, a glimpse while changing is one thing, but anything more is unecessary and rude to others IMO.

I am ok being naked in my own home or changing in front of someone but walking around that way for a while is not good in my book. I am far to modest for that one!

Well, I definitely think there's a difference between being naked and being "pornographic".. I mean, there are only so many parts on a body that are "sexual"... and most of the parts you see in a dressing room or locker room are parts that you'd see every day on the street.. midriffs, all the way down to the mid-hips.. all the way up to the upper thigh, arms, backs.. it's only a small percentage of that whole picture that gets covered up overall.. but that being said.. it's a bit different to be running around naked then it is to be running around naked and bending over in front of people. I'm completely comfortable with being naked but in all honesty, I don't want to bend over in front of people. If not for the sake of being rude by completely exposing parts that still sexual, even if it is natural.. um.. like, they're just not the "freshest, smell bestest, always sparkling clean" areas. It doesn't really matter how often you wash or shower there, as soon as you potty, that's not really spotless anymore and that's if you discount other things that go on within a woman's body. And heaven forbid you have gas.. yeah, just not polite to point that in someone's direction, no matter how natural you are. I think maybe that crosses over into the area of not polite for other reasons than being naked.

I do feel like I shouldn't bend over and stick my butt in someone's face even when I'm clothed. It's sort of like sticking them in an armpit.... whether it's clean or not, it just doesn't seem polite. And besides.. um, imo, that part of a woman's body isn't very attractive, no matter how comfortable you are with nudity. I never really got why men thought it was so cool to see it, but I guess they're just pre-wired to think that way.

When I was in my teens or maybe even a little younger, I wouldn't even let my own mom see me naked and when she came with me to buy new clothes, I wouldn't let her in the dressing room. I don't even like to take clothes off at the Dr.s office so I'm pretty modest.

At home though I HATE clothes... especially under garments so I'm usually in shorts/yoga pants and a t-shirt or tank. And if we're having a "special" weekend at home we'll have a naked day where the only time we put clothes on is to cook!

I heard this quote, I agree with it "I dress for women and undress for men", I don't care to see women nude nor do I want to prance around nude in front of other women.

Still, I rather see a man nude than a woman, I see enough of a woman when I look in the mirror.
