nike + ipod (anyone run?)

Just wondering if anyone else has the nike+ipod attachment & runs with it? I'm a beginner-runner and have been using it for the past 2 months (had to slow down b/c knee pain...actually, haven't run in the past 10 days due to really bad knee pain ).

Thought it might be fun to start up a beginners' challenge (no more than about 5 miles per day).
Anyone game?

P.S. Isn't the best part seeing how many (or worst: how few) calories burned?! Or getting the Paula Radcliffe or Lance Armstrong message at the end of your run!

i'm waiting for my strained foot to heal up. then i'll be restarting the "couch potato to 5k" program again. i stopped in december/january when we had a cold/icey spell. and fell of the the wagon, so to speak. i need to start again, and really want to.

i do need new shoes for running...what nikes come with the ipod? i had a pair that i hated last year.

someone who knows what i'm talking about...yay!

actually, i don't have a pair of the nike+ shoes, either, but i use the shoe pouch (www.shoepouch.com). i have the nike pegasus shoe & it fits via the laces & is fairly accurate (you could calibrate if you want). the pouch is a good idea...this way people can benefit from the ipod attachment but still be able too wear the shoes that suit them best. i bought shoe pouches for my boyfriend & my brother, too.

if enough people are trying to run, it might be fun to have a cat-people run-challenge !
