Whats bands/artists have you seen in concert?

I've seen none at all!
It's horrible that basically all the bands I like totally skip the west coast or play hours away in Ontario. Like Stevie Nicks, she's playing in Orillia for two nights and London for one. I can't go to either concert because 1. I'm not old enough for the Orillia show, and 2. We are broke. The Tragically Hip is playing in Saskatchewan this summer so I might go to that concert.

Immature, NSYNC, Seether, Disturbed, Lacuna Coil, Ozzy, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down, Korn, Linkin Park, Snoop Dogg, and every year I see a lot of bands on the free stages at Summerfest! My major concerts where Ozzfest (last year) and Projekt Revolution (Linkin Park, Korn, Snoop)

Well lets start with the local bands that most people on here have never heard of. Underachiever, Archeaus, Dämonen, Into Eternity, Neuraxis, and Martyr.

Now for the famous bands. Metallica, Dream Theater, Tool, The White Stripes, Rage Against the Machine, The Rolling Stones, and Ozzy Osborne.

None!
I've never been to a concert by any major bands/artists. Well, actually, I saw Jessica Andrews at our county fair one year, if that counts

Poison, Def Leppard, Prince, Van Halen, Warrant, Matchbox Twenty, & Bon Jovi. Tickets are so expensive anymore. It's been 5 years since I was at a concert. I have to say Van Halen was the best!

I've heard Into Eternity, Neuraxis, and Martyr, but maybe I don't count?
I thought Into Eternity were fairly popular or at least becoming so, I've see commercials flashing their name up on MTV2 a few times.

My list..
Steve Miller
Fire House/Damn Yankees/ Poison
Ugly Kid Joe/Def Leppard
Nothing Face/Morbid Angel/Soulfly/Pantera
NoOne/Rammstein/System of a Down/Slipknot (DH's doing)
Tool
Chimera/Fear Factory/Slipknot (DH choice, yet again)
Bile/KMFDM
NIN
Revolting C*cks/Ministry
Lacuna Coil/Anthrax/Rob Zombie

Unfortunately, Oklahoma doesn't get many good bands

The closest most play is Dallas, which is a really long drive from where I am.
And I refuse the count the 80s hard rock/glam metal fest that OK. is having this summer as good bands.

Tickets are expensive for any big name acts.
NIN cost $54 per ticket, and that's without all the extra charges.
Ticketmaster is one of the main reasons for the high costs, they charge $8-10 for a 'convenience fee', plus a venue charge, and anything else they can add on.

My first concert was to see Joe Walsh in 1973 (I know I'm dating myself). Since then I've seen so many I can't recall. I love concerts. Some of the ones I remember:

The Who (before Keith Moon died)
The Doobie Brothers
The Moody Blues
Chicago
Jimmy Buffett (too many times to count)
The Eagles
The Beach Boys
Lyle Lovett
Santana
Jackson Brown
Bonnie Raitt
The English Beat (last week in fact)
The Neville Brothers
Los Lobos
Koko Taylor
Muddy Waters
Stevie Ray Vaughn (talk about the best guitar player ever)
Pink Floyd
Southern Culture on the Skidds
John Hiatt
Buckwheat Zydeco
Preservation Hall band

This is probably less than half of the bands that I've seen. I guess my memory has slipped from all of those concerts (
).

Dream Theater, Megadeth, Fear Factory, Nevermore, Duel Jewel, and Camino. Not many, which makes me sort of sad. I'm hoping to see Symphony X when they come to my home town.

Nuh uh...might give me away!
Tim McGraw, Sara Evans, Johnny Lang, Tim and Faith, Brad Paisely (twice), Goo Goo Dolls, Sugar Ray, Fastball, and that's all I can think of right now.

My favorite....toss up between the first Tim McGraw (he wished me a happy birthday from stage..it was my 12th birthday *swoon*) and Johnny Lang (plays guitar so beautifully I had to try not to cry...and I got to go with my dad).

Wow I thought I was going to be the only one who saw Poison in concert. BTW if you still like them, they are touring again this year. I don't think I will make it. They keep playing further and further from Philly.

Hee! I'm from Orillia! (I don't live there any more, but my parents, little sister and grandfather all do.) End dorky hijack.

I have seen: Alanis Morissette, Our Lady Peace, Frente!, Dinosaur Jr., Wild Strawberries (multiple times), I Mother Earth, Moist, Ginger, Sarah McLachlan (multiple times), Jewel, Indigo Girls, Shawn Colvin, Meredith Brooks, Killjoys, Tragically Hip (multiple times), Kim Stockwood, Melanie Doan, The Tea Party (multiple times), See Spot Run, Spirit of the West (multiple multiples of times), Great Big Sea, Bryan Adams (multiple times), Creed, Serial Joe, Headstones, Dave Matthews Band, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Justin Timberlake, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Goldfinger, Matthew Good Band (and Matthew Good, as a solo artist), 54-40, By Divine Right, Sloan, Big Sugar, David Wilcox, Kim Mitchell, Doug and the Slugs, Gordon Lightfoot, Arrogant Worms ... I'm probably forgetting someone(s) ... Hopefully J and I will be going to see Meatloaf at Casino Rama in August, for our birthdays (J's a big fan and we both grew up listening to "Bat Out of Hell").

I've also seen stand-up acts for Jon Stewart and Lewis Black, plus tribute bands for the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Meatloaf.

I am a concert geek and really have no preferences: all live shows are good shows. (Give me a mosh pit any day!) I tend to go to music festivals, though, like Edgefest, Lilith Fair, Mariposa Folk Festival and SARSstock.

Too many to count!

The first concert I saw was in 1988, Monsters of Rock tour with King Kobra (there's a reason you've never heard of them - they sucked!), Dokken, Scorpions, Metallica and Van Halen (1st tour with Sammy Hagar).

Since then, I've seen a ton of bands. Highlights include:

(Metal Bands)
Metallica (again, on the ...And Justice for All tour, before they sold out)
Queensryche (4 times now, I think)
Motley Crue
Judas Priest (2x)
Alice Cooper
Kiss
Aerosmith
Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio)
Megadeth
Tesla
Skid Row
Slaughter (3 times in 1 year
)
Poison (at least 3 times)
Warrant
LA Guns
Faster Pussycat
Firehouse
Dream Theater
Whitesnake
Iron Maiden (4 times, I think)
Bruce Dickinson (solo)
Ozzy Osbourne (on the No More Tours tour, 10+ years ago...he's still touring
)
Rob Zombie
Anthrax
Jackyl

(Other genres)
Nine Inch Nails (4 times)
David Bowie
Tori Amos
Marilyn Manson
Filter
Switchblade Symphony
Christian Death (with Valor, never got to see them with Rozz
)
The Prophetess
The Last Dance
Faith and the Muse
Sunshine Blind

(And one that doesn't fit with anything else...)
Barry Manilow

Dinosaur Jr.,
Every time someone says Orillia I think of the O RLY? owl.

Dinosaur Jr. played in Saskatoon two days ago! Of course I didn't even hear of the concert until a few hours before they played...
