I purchased and planted this Iris last week. It's called "Sultan's Palace" in deep red. It flowered this morning. I'm always ecstatic when things survive after I plant them. Never fails to amaze me!

Nice iris. You should join us over at VF, we are as crazy about plants there as we are about cats over here.

Well, some of us are just crazy...

Beautiful! Irises are one of my favorite flowers. I love most flowers that come from a bulb. I wish I didn't have a brown thumb. I am so amazed by people that can make beautiful things come out of the dirt.

I'm behind on planting this year. May was booked for other stuff EVERY weekend! So Monday (holiday) DH and I got the vegie garden done (green beans and tomatos) and I got lilys planted on the other side of the shed. That's it so far.

I do want to get iris' planted soon. Maybe this coming weekend
Iris are one of my favs too.

Just joined Verdant site under my same user name as here! So, no need to bore the TCS types with my gardening interests!
