Hi there. Weve just adopted a kitten called squiffy. Shes awesome but does tend to get her claws into everything in site. I've headr that there are ways you can spray your furniture with lemon juice or something and this will stop them scratching at it.

Is this true or does anybody have any other ideas? She already has a scratching post.

Thanks a lot.

My cats love the cardboard scratchers and forsake my furniture.

I bought the two sided tape at Petco, it was a little expensive but worth it.(btw, i came across it on the end of an isle, you know how they have stuff hanging on the corner..?) It peels off easily, i even put it on the bathroom doors, our cat would scratch the door to get in when the door was closed. I also put it on my couch cover and seems to have done the trick.

I agree, when my cats were babies they really loved the cardboard scratchers a lot better than their scratching post. They only cost about $5 too so it's worth a try.
We have leather furniture and so I also keep their nails clipped so that they don't leave scratches while jumping around.
