good morning

slug day? well, I don't think I have any in my garden so far. I guess that's an advantage of balcony gardens... those little buggers would have to climb the stairs to eat my garden

no plans for today, really. The woman at one of the employment agency I signed up with called me on Friday at 3pm to tell me she may have a job for me starting this Monday. Unfortunately I only got home at 5pm and her office was closed.

I'll call her back at 9am, but I guess I'm too late. So another jobless day for me, and I'll just keep sending out resumes.

Lazy day here, a holiday for the US folks.
Happy Memorial Day!

Some gardening before it gets too hot, up to 87 later and still no rain.

Someone mentioned slugs yesterday, and here's a holiday for them.

I'm feeling a bit "sluggish" myself today. Woke up to yet more rain, it has been raining for the past week almost non-stop. No more drought here. It Memorial Day holiday here, so just taking it easy since I am off of work today. Just spent the past 4 days with my parents here to visit for my daughters graduation and had a great time.

Thanks for having a day just for me. I do "slug" very well.

I feel yucky today. I took some Tylonel 3 last night for some gall stone pain and because I have to get an ultrasound done this afternoon I can't eat much (no dairy, meat, eggs, fried foods, etc). I am feeling woozy now. I just want to go home and sleep.

Hope everyone is having a better day then I am.

I have a black thumb - everything I try to grow dies. Unless it is dust on my shelves. That seems to proliferate wildly despite my best efforts to the contrary!!

I'm curious. I've never cooked anything with radishes in it. I've tasted one - they're yummy - very peppery. What sort of things can you cook with them?

I've never cooked them. I don't know if they'd be any good cooked.
I just eat them raw, by themselves or in salads.
