Oh man I find this whole size thing to be so confusing. Therefore I am permanently stuck in ill-fitting bras because I don't actually understand how they're meant to fit. One time I bought three all in different sizes... the lady looked at me like I was totally insane. Which I might very well be. Perhaps it's time to give in and get a professional fitting!

I'm with ya there! I swear by my Frederick's bras though! I figured my sizing by their chart and I'm a 38F. I just got 2 new bras and I'm good with them. One is going back though because I feel 'pointy' in it...that's for another bra rant thread though!

Actually, once before I lost all my weight, I decided to weigh my boobs on the kitchen scales. Just for a laugh. No wonder I had neck and back pain for so long!!
That was probably a bit of an overshare....
I wish someone had warned me when I was younger! I was a D cup at age 14 and no one warned me! Oh and just the other day I weighed that part of myself on the bathroom scale (don't have a kitchen one!) and I was actually a little suprised that it wasn't heavier!!! Course it took some contorting to try to weigh just that so it could have been off!

Well, the rib part is what I wear, but I have been buying the DD's (36 DD, that is
), but I had a difference of 7 inches- I don't think I will fill out a 36 DDD!
There is a shop here (can't remember the name) that offers free bra fittings (and they are strickly a swimming apparel/bra store) that I have been saying I will go to and get fitted at for months...I've really got to go and get that done...

I'm a 36C which is what I should wear! Used to be smaller, but the steroids I have to take at times kind of "pump" me up!

I can't even fill an A anymore. If you guys with all the extra you want to get rid of, would send some my way, that would be great! To think, I used to complain about being too small at 36B. And I recently learned that when you go through menopause (which isn't too far away), you get smaller.

I've not been actually measured/fitted, but measuring myself always comes out the same. 37C

Seems like I'll always be stuck with using 36 and 38s.

I am a 38c, I have been measured.
I do not wear traditional bras as most use laces and/or elastics that I get allergic reactions to.
I wear XL Bally Fitness Sport's bras and I love them.
Great support, they feel great, and unlike some sports bras, they don't try to smash my breasts flat.

How funny! I've been bra shopping for the past couple weeks!! I bet I've tried on 30 bras at 4 different stores. All of them were my 'size' but none fit the same way!!? I even went up and down cups and sizes. Jeez! I finally found 2 (on sale as luck would have it) that are my usual size.

Wow.....my boyfriend would probably enjoy it if that site was right....34 D??! I don't think so. I was so happy when I gained some weight and advanced to a C cup for the first time in my life. I didn't even get into a B cup until my senior year of high school
No way could I ever fit into a D....wishful thinking

Yes and no?
I'm break out badly from pretty much every comfortable 'traditional' bra I can find, and the ones that don't break me out, aren't comfy.
So, I wear shelf style sports bras.

My official size is 38c.

Speaking of bras, ladies...
Someone actually got funding to do a study to see how much women's breasts move during exercise.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20725154/

I usually wear a 38C or a 40B, but I have the problem of being less full on the top, so they don't always fit very well.

That article was actually interesting! And it's about time!!! Honestly, I know the pain they are talking about. I've never liked exercise as it is, I don't need that on top of it. I plan on having a reduction in a few years (after the kids come) because my shoulders and back already suffer far too much. It sucks.

Yeah, it was definitely a study that needed to be done. We need better bras for sure!!!

But I still found it very humorous.
