I figured my bra size according to these insturctions. It says I am a 37C. I wear a 36A. It was a big ego boost for me!
But, my reasoning behind starting this thread....is that there is no way I could "fill" a C cup.

Is your "official" bra size the same as what you wear?

Victoria's secret dosn't actually register my size but I was measured to fit a few months ago and have found a style of bra that fits has support and is comfortable. I'm a triple D so it's hard to find somthing that fits AND is comfortable.

I don't bother with the online sites as they are NEVER accurate for my body type. I have however been professionally fitted and i wear a 38D.

I've been measured there and I'm officially a 34B. All my bras fit like a dream and I never even realize that I'm wearing one.

Oh dear what a personal thread ..i've got dds
lol

i can probably fit between d and e as well, it depends on the brand and fabric of the bra. stoopid manufacturers!

LOL my friend and I were measuring each others' bra size last night!

My official one is exactly what I wear, although I am sort of on the edge of two cup sizes and it goes either way depending on the brand.

I wear my official size for the most part, it depends on the brand.

Oprah did a show a while back on bra fitting, apparently the cup size is not the same through the sizes so even though you are an A in cup in one band size you could in fact be a C in another band size.

I feel that the measurements aren't true unless you are full all around. Some are flat on top, but full on the bottom. Some sag some don't. Their measurements have me a larger cup than I fit into.

I'm not sure, it might be correct!

I was a B cup before I got pregnant, and according to that I'm a D cup

The last bras I bought a couple of weeks ago were a C cup, and they were about the right size, but I was wondering if I should go up a cup size and give myself a little more room to grow - they're ginormous now!

Maybe I should go get a professional fitting.

some of the maternity stores (at least around here) offer fittings as far as bras go during pregnancies/nursing - they might could recommend a comfy one that will give you a little room to grown and offer support where you need it.
("Motherhood Maternity" "Haute Mama" and " A Pea in the Pod" come to mind
if ya'll have those near you.)

Oooh thanks! I just went to Target because I'd seen some nice cotton one there. I've been to Motherhood Maternity for clothes, but didn't think to check out their bras.

Here... or There... Hmmm
Me and DH did the measuring awhil back to find the proper size and I've worn that since, but now that I've been losing weight I've been losing those too so I've gone down some sizes and am finding it hard to find proper fitting bras as well as not wanting to spend the money out for nice new ones that I am just going to out grow so quickly. From what I can tell right now is that I've gone from a 44DD to a 40D and it's a big difference when you have them on cuz my old ones are way baggy feeling and move all around! Very not fun!

I am a 12DD in Australia, and a 36DD according to that measurement. I'd been wearing C cups for years and a few months ago decided to try a D and a double D. It was like finding heaven on earth!! I had no idea a bra could be so comfortable. Even after losing 30 pounds I'm still a double D. It runs in the family. So I'm a size 10 with size 16 boobs! It's a pain and I'm seriously considering having breast reduction surgery. So is my Mum. Us girls whose mothers and grandmothers have big norks should have been warned in childhood so we could prepare ourselves!

Lol... It's funny, when I got married I had to get padding sewn into my wedding dress because otherwise I'd have looked as flat as an ironing board. Guess it all comes later in life for some....har har.

Actually, once before I lost all my weight, I decided to weigh my boobs on the kitchen scales. Just for a laugh. No wonder I had neck and back pain for so long!!
That was probably a bit of an overshare....

I voted no. Here is why, I wear a 34b, my Dh just measured me and according to the chart I should have a 36c. I like how I look and so does he. After this I am going to go and get measured correctly so I know what size bra to get.
