We just can't seem to catch a break at all this week at our shelter. Today Jimbo, my absolutely favorite dog there, was brought back. He was recently adopted. (now keep in mind i was not there when it happened). A very loving, kind home adopted him. Yet when whoever finalized the contract adopted him out (it was a coworker, not me- i would have known better) they did not ask the family if they had approval from their landlord. BIG MISTAKE! Jimbo is a brindle pit bull (and gorgeous!!!) He is just the best dog ever. Yet when the landlord saw that they had a dog on their property without permission- they made them take him back. So now-poor Jimbo is back at the shelter yet again. When they brought him in today i told them that they should have never adopted an animal without permission from their landlord. That it was not right to take an animal home like that only to have to bring it back because they violated their lease. (i was kind, but firm). I just hate that now little Jimbo is back yet again at the shelter. He is such a sweet dog too! Please send some vibes Jimbo's way that he finds the perfect forever home soon. I wish i could take him home with me- but i have my hands full now as it is. Also though- just to end on a bit of a positive note though- we had quite a few adoptions/foster homes today for both our cats and dogs at the shelter
So that is always good news!

No kidding. It's been a long day at the shelter. But thankfully some of our lovely animals did go into foster homes/get adopted so that's good. Trina is actually due any day now (a pregnant yellow lab we had come into our shelter recently- the dad's a chocolate lab we had to pts for being aggressive. Luckily Trina is really nice though.) I took her temp before i left today and it was below 100 so she will likely have those puppise VERY soon. We were hoping that someone would foster her just to get her out of the shelter while before she has her pups...but no such luck right now.(I will be there tomorrow and mon so hopefully she will have them when i'm there to help.) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Jimbo finds a good home soon. He's soo sweet.

here's trina's picture http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/TN219.html (i swear she's even more huge now too! she's about to pop!) There are sooo many good animals that need homes. it gets frusterating.

He is amazing with other animals!! He's soo gentle
I just adore him! He's also really good with kids and older people as well- just really gentle all the way around. But still quite playfull and fun!
