A few questions

Hi,

I started coming to TCS last November. A friend of mine donated a couple of those little icons that show up on the right side of the thread when you post.
How do you get them, otherwise? Is there a way to earn them? How do you earn points? How many points do I need in order to be able to post in the IMO forum?

You don't need any points to post in IMO, you do need to be an Adult Cat (100 posts / 30 days in membership) and over 18.

As far as the 'gifts', people can give them to you, or you can buy them for yourself, there is a help thread here for them.

You earn points for every post, if you scroll down to the bottom of a thread or forum it will tell you how many points you get for posting there
