Hi I'm Jess
I joined today to get some advice regarding Fuchi, who is expecting her first litter any day now. We inherited her in December when my best friend passed away, and have been healing together.
Fuchi
We also have Dynamite, who, in my humble and unbiased opinion [
] is the coolest cat ever. We adopted him off Craigslist almost 3 years ago. He walked in like he owned the place, and we're completely crazy about him. More like a dog than a cat, he loves to go on walks, play fetch, and have his tail pulled.

We found Gracie in a box by the garbage can at our local market on my oldest son's 9th birthday. Dynamite had just come to us, and desperately needed a friend. Gracie was WAY too young to be away from her mother, let alone in a box outside a grocery, so we couldn't help ourselves. Dynamite acted as surrogate mom [yes, he's a male], by allowing her to "nurse". She's pretty aloof and antisocial when it comes to us humans, although she does love my son and spends a lot of time with him.

As much as I hate to admit this, I pretty much stole Pepper. She "belonged" to our neighbors, although she was semi-feral and lives mostly outdoors. When she was indoors, the neighbor's children terrorized her. One day, I was returning their 2 year old son to them, who would often walk up to our apartment covered in dirt without his parents knowing, and I saw Pepper outside covered in fleas. We'd just bought our house, and were getting ready to move, so I told them that I was going to take their kitten and give her a better home, and they were lucky I wasn't taking their son too. Pepper's now happy, healthy, and whiny.

And that brings us to Hershey =)
We are not dog people. We are not particularly active outdoors people. I'd like to think we aren't crazy people either - yet we adopted an 8 week old Chocolate Lab/GSP mix. He's just under a year old and was just diagnosed with horrible hip dysplasia, so he's having a bilateral hip replacement June 12. Labs are pretty much insane until they are 7, and he perfectly fits that bill. The cats have trained him well, and he's trained me even better. We've come to love him, and all that comes with being owned by a crazy 80 pound lap dog.
We also have a beta, Momo, the ticked off fish. =)
As for the humans, we're totally outnumbered. My fiance Sean and I live in a small town in north Puget Sound, Washington, where we've just bought our first house. We have two boys, ages 9 and 11, and our house is a mad one - but we love it.
We're expecting our first and only litter from Fuchi any minute now - I'll update and post pictures when the big day comes!
