Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have not posted this earlier I was trying to first deal with this myself. Our little Twinkie was confirmed with FIP. By the end she ended up with wet FIP so I had the vets do all kinds of tests and it was 100% confirmed. Twinkie was getting worse by the day even though she had some good days but than we didn’t even see good days. She did not eat or move around much you could see her life was not quality so my husband and I have decided to put her down. After daily vet visits and all the vets we have tried we thought it was time for Twinkie to cross a rainbow bridge. Twinkie is now pain free and enjoying her life with other kittens. I know that if I didn’t take her when she was only a few months old she would not have made it even until 8 months old as she did with us. I believe we gave her a very good and happy life for the 6th month she was with us. It was very said to see her go and it’s been difficult for my husband and I. The worst part is that I have Twinkie’s sister Tweetie who I accidentally call Twinkie. They don’t look alike but I gave Tweetie this name because of Twinkie. I used to call her “Twinkie’s Sister” so Tweetie was responding to that name so I called her Tweetie which is similar to Twinkie.

I would like to thank you all of your support, kind words, and prayers.

Thank you Sharky for the post and your PM. You are very kind I really appreciate your message. I will post something soon. I don't think I can write that right now but in time I will. She was very special girl to us. We thought Twinkie will be with us forever but that didn't seem to be the case. I am just glad that for the 6 months she has been with us she was a happy kitten. The sad thing is I can see her mom at the barn that looks just like Twinkie and that is not helping. Also I know that her mom just had kittens and I better don't see them.

I haven't been here in a while and yours was the first post I saw tonight. My heart broke when I read this. Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Fly free little Twinkie
