This may be a silly question

What is the protocol for using signatures the talented people here have made? I have seven now, I think. I try to change them daily so everyone can see and enjoy the artists' work. How do others go about rotating the signatures?

Thanks!

I set mine up to automatically rotate.

If anyone is interested in being able to automatically rotate their signatures without using animated .gif images (which makes huge files), you can check out this link. You need to have your own hosting site though because you need access to the root directory. Something like Photobucket won't work.

I have 3 signatures uploaded to my website and only one shows up on the forums at a time. With each refresh of the page the signature gets refreshed and changes to one of the 3 that I have on my site.

With the way I have it set up, I can add as many signatures to my website as I want and have them display at random. Currently I have 3, but I could have 300 if I wanted.

I have a whole raft of signatures from our wonderful and generous siggy designers. At first I was rotating once a week, but as the collection has grown I've stepped it up to every two or three days, at least until they've all been up once. Then we'll see...

Do any of your have your internet through your local telephone or cable company? If so, then you were given a certain amount of free web space to use. If you have some webspace through your ISP company, then you can do the rotation thing that I do.

I suggest you call your ISP and ask them if your services provides some free webspace. It comes in handy.

I change mine when I feel like it, some a themed and so stay up for the holidays etc, the boys all have their own sigs that I rotate between and then I have some that seem to just 'fit' at the time so I use them and then I have some of all four that I rotate through less than the individual ones.
