Hello,

My cat, has a strange eating habbit, he wont eat, unless we feed him by hand. Even then he wont eat much, he is very skinny, and he is 8 months old. He eat more in the past than now.

we feed him wiskers, (wet food). and asda brand dry food.

He keeps pulling his fur out in chunks with fur attached, my sister thinks he is bitting too hard. is this possable? how can we stop him from doing this?

what could it be? worms?
He will eat if we are with him, but as i said not alot, and more if we feed him by hand.

any questions, ask me, and ill reply wiht answers

Well first question is has the cat been to the vet?

Second has he always been like this?

Is this the same food he has always been eating?

If not what was the other food and did he eat that?

If this is what he has always eaten have you tried anything new?

as far as i know, no vet visits, but had no need to have his japs, as him mum owner said not to...

is it too late to give him the japs? hes 8 months

he has had go cat food, and at a month, we put him on wiskers, and he eat that like it went out of fasion. easily eat a tin per day including dry food.

now, in the last 4-6 weeks he eats 1 tin, per week and a half. we went from jelly, to supermeat, back to jelly could that be it?

It's not too late for vaccinations. I would definitely take him to the vet to see about the issues he has going on now. I hope he will be feeling better soon. Please let us know how it goes.

This really needs a vet trip. It sounds like he may be allergic to something if he is pulling out his fur. You may want to get a/d food from the vet to feed him. Loads of luck with your little guy. Keep us posted.

I agree, he could be allergic. Or it could be something else. He should want to eat. Please do take him to the vet for his shots and any other work he needs done. Ask the vet about foods that are best for your little guy and the new ones you are getting.

Don't forget to let us know how it goes
Please post photos if you can. We really like photos here

He wont drink water out of his bowl aswell, we give him water in a cup, or he sits in a bowl of water, then drys himself out (drinking the water).

He somehow got into the fridge, and eat our cooked chicken, nearly the whole breast, is this ok for him? should we give him the rest, he eats it, so why not?

Ill debone it for him, and give him all the meat from the bird. (thank god he didnt eat the other one...
, it has spices on)

Let me know if i can give him the rest.

Chicken is better than no food at all and it's encouraging that he ate it. He still needs to get to the vet. I hope he's happy right now and sleeping with a full belly.
Please let us know what your vet said . Cats can be allergic to many things just like humans.

Hello, an update

He is not underweight, and has eaten 2 whole chickens in 4 days...

He has also eaten, 1 kitten cat food (1 tin) and a few dry food.

He is healthy.

A new problem now though:

He has red in the white part of his eye, We are going to take him to the vet, and heal, my sister said, he needs to stay their for a week.

Also, read this for some advise please

It's good that he is eating, but how are his eyes? Also is he neutered? You will want to do that soon, it's not a nice thing when they start spraying.
