I love my job... it does have some things about it that really need to be changed before I can actually say that I LOOOOOOVE my job... For example : the pay is ok, but not great. Would love a raise so that way I dont have to live paycheck to paycheck. There are no benefits, at all. I don't get paid for overtime, even though I work 50 hrs a week... But I love the people I work with, all of them!! They are the nicest people I've ever met. I get along great with the bosses, so if I ever need a day or two off to go to Mexico or something... they have no problem giving me days off!! So I guess you can't have everything right?

I don't love my job which is partially why I just resigned

I loved my job back in Australia, working for the Government, and was there for 3 years when we moved to the US so had to quit. Now I've had 2 jobs in 9 months and don't feel at all settled. And now I'm having a baby in October, so won't be able to get a "real" job again for a little while.

Hopefully I can get more of my degree done while I'm not working and can dive back in to the workforce when I'm ready!

I had my last job for 20 years and if the branch office hadn't closed I was going to pursue other options. No opportunities for advancement, repetitive work etc.....
Now that I'm self employed landscaping its a whole different story!! I set my own hours and get to spend other people's money buying plants and I enjoy the postive feedback too. But I have to always hustle for new job opportunities. I have to stay focused and organized too. And it can be lonely as I work by myself but the tradeoffs are worth it.

Movin' on up!
This is the best job, that I'va had in years. Being a collections agent is moe than just getting money out of people, it is problem-solving. Now that I am a Lead Rep and have more flexibility and authority, its even better. The calls no longer come in fast and furious and I actually have to THINK. In addition, I don't have to get up early, I'm off of my feet, don't have to do any heavy lifting and don't break my fingernails.

I don't like it as much as I used to, because now I am in sales. It can get kind of stressful. I feel very blessed to still have a job with decent pay and benefits. We were weeks away from being evicted from our house when I got this job. My trainers believed in me enough to let me go on through even though I missed the cutoff grade by 1.5 points. I want to make them proud of me, so I alwys try to be nice to everyone, and go above and beyond. They have fired a lot of people, but my supervisor says I am in no danger of losing my job.

Thats so great that your finally appreciated- thats how I feel too at my new job- they actually appreciate my skills- I love it

I feel your pain! I work in a call center too, and I will NEVER do it again!!

I have never hated a job this much in my life. I work for a government contract for their retirement, and for the most part, these people are stupid! (no offense to any government workers here.) These people get paid 5X more than I do, but can't real instructions on how to fill out a form. I had a call from someone who actually made over $13,000 every two weeks...but didn't put on the form if he was married or not, so it couldn't be processed. And, somehow, it was my fault he was stupid.

Besides the stupid people, the company sucks. I actually go wrote up because I took too many bathroom breaks. For 40 hours a week, we are "allowed" 23 minutes off the phone for personal reasons. Sometimes, my bladder won't wait until my next scheduled break. And, because I'm at my 3 unexcused absences for the quarter, I now have to work the 12:30-9:00pm shift for the rest of the quarter instead of my normal 9:30-6:00. I've complained about jobs before, but this is just the pits.

Sorry, just had to vent.

Do I like my job? ummm...NO!!! (ok...done venting now
)

I've been in IT for 28 years. The paycheck keeps me in the field and I've been in it long enough to realize that I can tolerate anything as long as I have a good boss. I just changed bosses a few months back - the previous one was a chauvanist control freak and I almost gave up the profession. Then I found a way to transfer to another group with a great boss and life is good again.

No matter what job you have, it's the people around you that make or break the job. If you stay in the same field, the work will get boring after a while, but its the people that keep it fun.

I know, isn't it unreal??? Some of these people's retirement accounts are in the millions! And, I've realized, the worse the foreign accent is the more they seem to get paid. What does that say about our government? And, just so everyone knows, the government will contribute 1% of their base salary into their account, whether the employee is contributing or not. So, now you know where your tax dollars go. So, some employees retire, find out they have $30,000 in an account they didn't know they had.

I have a love hate relationship with my job. There are days where I want to rip my hair out and quit, but then I have days that are amazing. I just have to learn to take the good with the bad and know it all evens out in the end.

I really really like my job
I work in a CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit). I am a nurse extern working under a preceptor RN--which basically means that I do what she usually does while she supervises me. It's really highly stressful but so rewarding when you see someone get well enough to leave the unit.

I always wanted to be a nurse- but I could never handle the needles or stuff like that!
I always wanted to work with the little babies!

I absolutely LOVE what I do. I'm an RN surgical first assistant, which means that I help the surgeon actually do the surgery. I cut, clamp, tie, suture, etc. I've been working in the same O.R. for 20 years this fall. The only thing I hate is the hours (....and the politics.) I was on call Friday. I went into work at 6:30 in the morning Friday morning, and went home at 2:40 in the morning, Saturday morning. Saturday was my 48th birthday....I slept pretty much all day. I feel like I'm getting too old for that kind of schedule, but they only let you go off the call rotation when you turn 55. Only 6 years and 364 days left!

I like my job about 70% of the time. I have been working at the same spot for 15 years, have had several promotions, and make very good money. That is the upside to it and that all makes very happy. However, with every upside there is also a downside and in my case it is the people I work with. I coordinate a staff of 35 and also deal with three department heads that coordinate there own staffs of 20 people. I have heard every excuse there is to hear, on every subject pertaining to work. Most people I have found are honest, fairly hard-working and willing to take responsibility for the tasks assign to them...but the few that aren't can make things pretty stressful. And in the end when it doesn't work out with these people and you have to let them go it is entirely your fault because you don't share there vision how just how unfairly life is treating them...I sure there are a few people out there who consider me the Wicked Witch of The West....but hey I worked hard over the years and my Broom is fully paid for..

Things I don't like about my job: I make minimum wage, I am considered temporary/seasonal until I've been there a year, they keep cutting everyone's hours, I have to be at work until 10:30 pm almost every Fri, Sat, and Sun...

Things I do like about my job: Playing with books all day, really knowing how to do my job and where everything goes and is, helping the customers who are nice (almost all of them), being in the department that everyone wants to be in, and we just got brand new computers!

Oh! And I have a manager who is not very fun. He asked me if I knew where he could buy weed once, he started giving me a backrub, he talks about extremely extremely inappropriate things with people who barely know him, and he has an opinion about EVERYTHING. Not just he's opinionated, but every word that comes out your mouth is wrong or something. Somebody did an impression of him last night, saying (about a black coffee mug) "Well, you could call it black if you want to, but actually it's a combination of red-486 and blue-27 invented by Alfred Hoppenshotenson in 1896, but you can call it black, I mean, it's wrong, but you could say that" The guy argued with me about my own sister's career. But mostly I can just laugh at him.

I don't like my job but I was almost 49 and about to be laid off. I am grateful to have found a job that pays enough to live on and has benefits.

I don't mind my job most of the time, its just the team leaders I don't like. They don't care if you get injured (I have carpal tunnel and they keep putting me on tasks that make it worse
)

But I am a student, studying towards a degree in Applied Science and so I need that job while I am studying as it suits the hours I am on. But it does take me away from my son.

I have been keeping my eyes open for another one.
