Other payments for TCS?

I can't register with paypal as i dont have a credit card. And as you guys are in the US i dont know if i can send out a postal order? Are there other options? I really want to try out 6 months so i can help the site and get the few extra things as a premium member.

I agree with the above poster. Is is posable to have a friend who has a paypal account register and pay for me, I will then give them the cash for the payment? Will the payment still go twards my account or will it not work because its not me? I was debating the issue about becoming a premium member untill I noticed that some words have become links to things that have nothing to do with TCS. They are just ads. A few example the word "health" is now underlined and is a link to a weightloss site for humans, the word "cat lovers" takes you to a dating site. There are many others but I want to turn the adds off and to do theat I have to be a premium member. The pop up that happens when I accidently scrool over a target word is starting to annoy me. The adds at the top and through out the page I could handle but the pop ups are kind of annoying.

Sorry to rant but I needed to. I would love to find out if I can become a member without a paypal account. I have no credit card or bank accounts so I really would only be able to have a freind do it. Would that work?

I posted an announcement earlier today about the new ad system we're trying. To clarify -

1. There are no pop-ups on the site - you only get a tooltip kind of pop-up when hovering over a link. This is actually done to help you decide whether or not to click on the link and avoid what is known as "blind links". If you don't hover your mouse over the links, it won't show anything.

2. We have little control over which kind of ad appears. The ads are delivered through a central ad agency. If you see anything inappropriate for a family-friendly site, please note the URL that shows up in the ad and drop me a PM. We will then ask our ad agency to remove those advertisers. On a side note - they did say it will take a couple of weeks for the system to "learn" the site and deliver the best ads, so I don't want to judge the quality of the ads just yet.

As for becoming a subscribed member - that's the best way to support the site and turn off every type of advertising that we have, including banners, text-ads, in-text ads etc. It also comes with some additional benefits

Paying by Paypal is usualy the easiest method, but you can also pay by check, if you opt for an annual subscription. If anyone is interested, please PM me and I will arrange payment details with you
