My mother had been 30 for 20 days whe she had my sister and me. She had been married for 8 years by that point, but my parents didn't want kids until they were 28 or 29. (My dad was 2 days' shy of 30 when were were born.)

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I still feel like the odd one out... I was the 'oops' baby. My parents married late (mid 30's), had my brother, then adopted my sister. Weren't trying... but whoops, here comes someone else. ME! My mom was 43.

It was tough... HUGE generational gap between me and her. To this day we don't really get along that well. I got teased in school because kid thought I lived with my grandparents. Nope. Dem's my parents. My mom is now 77 and dad is 80.

Despite the current trend in our American society, I do NOT recommend waiting that late on purpose. It's rough on you and the child. Menopause hits soon after and you have to chase a toddler around... not my idea of a good time. Not to mention that that kid will have to deal with aging parents/death of parents at a MUCH younger age. I was 15 when my dad went under the knife for a double bypass heart operation. I nearly lost my dad at 15. I've dealt with so much of this stuff long before most people my age will. I don't recommend it. I don't have kids, not sure i ever want them. I'm 34 now. If it happens, it happens. if not? C'est la Vie.

Wow! All of these young mothers out there!

Maybe its a generational thing, but I cannot see myself having kids before 30. I doubt I'l have my feet on the ground before 30 at my current rate! Maybe being 21/22 is just horribly scary and I'm overreacting, but wow. I have a lot of respect for women my age that can successfully raise children. I'm just now beginning to pay my own rent!

My mom was 33 when she had me and 40 when she had my sister. She was married before but didn't have any kids with him so thats why she had us both so late.

My Mom was 26 when she had me. My Grandma was 42 when she had her youngest child (she was a surprize). I'm 33 and don't have any kids (that is kids without fur)

My Mum was 34 when she had my brother, and 42 when she had me -- in days when it was still significantly risky to have a child at that age. I couldn't have asked for a better Mum.

Mum was 30 when she had me, and I am her youngest. My eldest brother was born two days before her 21st birthday - and two months after her wedding!!
- and my middle brother was born when she was 25.

I am 32 and childless. Or, at least, human children that is.

My mum wanted to be married 2 yrs & have 2 kids. She was married 12 yrs & had one, me. She was 35 yrs 10 1/2 mths. These days its the norm amongst career women. I was 25, 27 & 33 when I had my sons. I didn't want to only have one child. Silly me.
Only kidding.
My maternal grandmother was nearly 43 when she had her 13th child & my paternal grandmother was 48 when she had her 11th child.

My mum was going through an early menopause in her early 40's. They thought at the time she had a cyst on her womb, but when they sent her to hospital for further tests it was little old me that was there instead

I was the fourth of five kids. She had my brother (oldest of all kids) when she was 17. So I would guess she had me at the latest late 20s very early 30s. Because she had my sister in 86 six years after me. Then had a hystervectomy at around age 36-38 and my sister was 6 thyem so yeah she had all of us early.
