Please stay safe Lois!!!!!!! Call your local fire dpt non-emergency line and see if there's anything you can do to help prevent your house from catching on fire as well (it only takes one ember or spark!) Can you take your water hose and saturate the area around your house?? Would that help or no? (i don't have any experience with thing like that)
i'm glad it's gotten a bit better- but still try and stay safe!Originally Posted by halfpint

Oh I have been here in Southern California for over 40 years every end of it I know about all the hazards hereOriginally Posted by KarmasMom
You are in southern cali right. Well welcome. Get use to it. LA has fire season in the spring and most of the summer. So does SD. Most palces have a rainy season or a dry season we get fire season. Just pay attention to the news, when they say the Santa Annas will be strong just know that there will be a fire somewhere at some point. It just happens here. Not enough rain to stop it, add to that high temps and strong wind and you get FIRE. Its the price we pay to live in paradise.
