I posted this a little while ago but it never showed up for some reason. Please tell me exactly what Tivo is and how you record on it, does it take tapes. I know absolutely nothing about it so please enlighten me.

It's an actual unit that you hook up to your TV and then you set it up so that it records your favorite shows. Mine is apparently recording something right now!
TIVO is the greatest invention since the television itself
I actually don't have a TIVO, I have a DVR that is provided thru my cable company, so my cable box is my DVR box
Even without a subscription the box still functions, you just don't get the great program guide, suggested recordings, searchable index, wish list.... Ok, I'll admit, I'm a Tivo fanatic with two in the house!
