Ok here goes! Yesterday I was about to take a shower but decided to go number 1 before getting in (note- I didn't put the toilet seat down or flush since the shower was already on...I decided to flush once I was finished with the shower)! So I get out of the shower to dry off when my kitten Nollee comes flying in like a bat out of hell (squeeking like no tomorrow) she jumps in the air and lands face first into the toilet, luckily she caught herself by only submerging her front paws (her hind legs where still on the seat), she was in such shock that I had to pick her out of the toilet....Ewwww why did she do that, she knew the toilet seat wasn't down and went for it anyway! LOL uh I had to watch her then clean herself (and my pee water) off of her paws... I picked her up later on and smelled her to see if she would need a bath, luckily she didn't smell one bit! I think she has seriously gone looney tunes. Sure it was funny but wth?

Over the river and through the woods...
LOL my Corky did that one morning, while DH was still using it! She loves the sound of water running, and heard him doing his thing, thought it was the shower which is right beside the toilet and did a flying leap...only to end up IN the toilet (she's not the brightest cat). DH was laughing so hard he couldn't...umm...shut off the valves, so the poor thing got her first "shower". But then she got her first REAL shower. I wake up to the sounds of a very angry kitty and a chuckling husband. That is why I NEVER leave the lid up!

LOL that is too funny! My cat isn't the brightest crayon in the box either! I have been telling my bf non-stop to make sure to put the lid down on the toilet in case she ever jumps in... He never does! What do you know? The one time I leave it up she jumps in! I told the bf he seriously needs to put the seat down from now on, after explaining what happend! LOL he won't even touch the kitten now knowing she jumped in the toilet.... Aww too funny!

The only rule that is inforced completely in our house is that the toilet seat goes down when you are done. When we 1st got cats, we learnt that the hard way. What is it with cats and toilets?

I don't know especially since they are so anal when it comes to cleaning and grooming themselves!

When I go to the bathroom, PHX always tries to like look into the toilet to see what's going on... I push him down, he jumps back up, I push him down, he jumps back up....
Then when I FLUSH the toilet, he likes to try to swat at the toilet paper going down the toilet... weird-o!!

We just keep the lid down at all non-use times for those reasons!!!

So when's her bath? I'm sure she's going to smell like urine!

Pixel and Paisley used to do something similar, but slightly worse. Needless to say, DH started shutting the bathroom door to pee. The girls were *fascinated* with running water and couldn't help but stick their paws in the interesting yellow "stream".
There's no pushing them away once they got in there...like you said, he couldn't shut it off. Messy cats, messy floor, just a mess!

My cat fell in too! It was the second day we had him. Like most cats, he just has to be in the bathroom with us when we go, or he sits outside the door and yowls until we come out.

I finished and stood up to pull my pants up and heard a splash behind me. Pogue had jumped into the toilet. I grabbed him, thinking "Pee-pee cat! Pee-pee cat!" and took him right into the bath. He got his first bath that day, with Lavender Vanilla bath gel.
It was the first thing handy. It worked so well, and made his fur so soft, that I've used it ever since.

My neighbors call him the Metro-sexual cat now, because he often smells like aromatherapy soaps/shampoos, and he gets his nails done regularly (with Softpaws)

Benson loves the sound of #1. Hubby has learned to shut the door now cause Benson gets a little to close to him.

Yeah my kitten is weird, she also insists on jumping up onto my lap while I am going potty... She really loves her mommy to do that lol! She doesnt stink so Im not sure I should give her a bath....I dont know how that would go! She was feral and when she feels threatend or unsafe she will tear you up something fierce (carrier's especially freak her out, which is weird since she used to love her carrier), I wouldn't know what to use to shampoo a kitten... Dogs are easy compared to clawing cats, I've never bathed a cat before! She doesn't smell but a bath wouldn't be a bad idea! I don't think she would have it!

Spike is no longer allowed in the bathroom while J is peeing, because he (Spike, not J
) tries to "catch" the *ahem* stream.

Have I mentioned lately that my cat is a special cat?

That is exactly what Benson tries to do.

Luna did that as a kitten also. I sort of miss it.

THAT will teach you about leaving the seat open.....

Charlie is sometimes too curious when DH is in there - I'm afraid one time he might be "hit"......

OMG I thought Herc was the only one. He knows how to lift the lid up off the seat so its useless and we get an earful if we are in there going potty and he wants a drink. He drinks outta the toilet all the time and will yell for us to come give it a random flush for fresh water. In our bathroom downstairs there is no door so no privacy from him. Any guy that has peed in our house knows that as soon as they walk there Herc is going to follow and put his front paws on the toilet between their legs and watch the show...Its a funny funny thing to "see" Ive only ever seen it happen to Dave but heard about it from the others..lol
