I'm new here

I have a 2 1/2 yr old cat named Cassie and we just got a 2 month old kitty who my son has named Sally. Right now, Cassie isn't too fond of the new baby, but it has only been an hour. Unfortunately, Sally's old owner brought her to me then informed me she found a couple of fleas on her. Hopefully they won't travel. Can any tell me how to put in an avatar or signature? I can't figure it out. TIA!

In a day or two you should have both just keep checking under " user cp" at the top of your screen Congrats on new kitty.Give your other cat time to warm up.We have a 7week old kitty and a 5 year old cat and it took a week for my older cat to warm up now they are great together see you around the forum

Thanks for the info. I have the cats separated. My big "baby" has stopped hissing and growling, so I'm guessing that is a good sign.

I keep the baby in the bathroom at night just so I know she is safe since she is so small plus it gives the older cat time to himself and time to sniff were she has been during the day and all.I have her bed and litter box in there with her along with food and water and she has plenty of room ( bathroom is large ) during the day she is out ( I am home all day so I can keep an eye on her ) .Cant wait to see pictures of your babies

Welcome to TCS!! You can find a lot of info here on how to get rid of fleas. Your best bet for right now is probably a bath in Dawn dish detergent. A little goes a long way. Comb through the fur with a flea comb diped in water with the detergent helps too!
