Since there is no new information on the pet food/tainted animal feed
(melamine) investigation, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S.
Department of Agriculture and U.S. Customs and Border Protection will no longer
be holding regular Tuesday and Thursday media briefings on the issue. FDA's
investigation is still ongoing and an import alert remains in place for all
vegetable protein products coming into the U.S. from China. FDA will notify
the media when there is updated information. In the meantime, please contact
