Wondering how old you think these little guys are. They are kittens that I caught today that had been raised on the outside part of my fireplace. I havnt been able to catch them because they hardly ever came out and ran if they saw me. I just moved really fast this time. LOL Anyways they are all 3 males. Very very fluffy soft fur and little chuncky. They were raised on hamburgers that mom dragged in to eat.
Any guesses on age? Also any name suggestions? Im going to be fostering them. Also dad is a medium hair cat. Could they be medium hair? My neighbors said they are pretty sure dad and mom are littermates that were dumped by their owner when they moved out. So if thats true mom would carry Medium hair too? Anyways here are pics. I would guess they weigh around 1 lbs maybe a little more. But their ears are still floppy and they arent very well cordinated.

IMO, you are looking at 3 DSH 8 week old males. Hard to tell from the pics, though. Hard to tell from any pics.

Thats what I figured. Size wise I would guess 8 weeks. But they act alot younger. How they act reminds me of when the 6-pack were around 5-6 weeks.

Confetti is 8 weeks. She's doing the same things Jade did at 4-5 weeks. I mean, she just disocovered her back feet today!
I think it might be the way they are raised affects their behaviors. Confetti was a live-trapped feral kitten.

LOL I bet thats fun for her. LOL I love when they first discover they have tails. Kane chewed on his and kept crying because it hurt but he thought something was stuck to him.
He maybe adorable but sometimes I wonder if that boy has any brains at all. These guys are doing the inbetween walk and crawl thing. You cant quite call it crawling but its really not walking. They dont have very good control over their back legs yet.

Is it possible they're scared & not walking normally? I guess, the best way of knowing how old they are, is it have a vet guess. Not all vets around good guesses, though, I had one tell me Jade was 8 weeks when she was 4!

I'd guess they would be somewhere between 6-8 weeks old. They do look a little "older" from the pictures. If mom and dad are medium haired, probably the kittens will be too.

Mom isnt medium haired. Just dad. The parents are both littermates though. The mostly black kitten isnt doing good at all. One of the other women in the rescue came to pick them up to bring to the vet and they think he has some sort of head trauma/brain injury. So they might be putting him down.
I knew he wasnt acting right but I never thought he had been hurt. They said the other 2 are perfectly healthy. Im just crying so hard right now. I feel like if I had caught him sooner maybe this wouldnt have happened. He was acting fine several days ago then he dissapeared for awhile. Poor boy.

The black kitten died. I named him Black Jack Ketchum to go along with his brothers. We had to put him to sleep. He died very peacefully with his mom. The vet said it was water on the brain disease. Basically the pressure in his skull built up to the point he would slip into a coma and die. So we decide to help him along. Because it couldnt be very comfortable. He kept trying to scratch at his head. I wish we could have saved him but there was nothing that we could do. The other kittens are doing well. The vet said he thought they were 6-7 weeks old. They are now named Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid. Mom is Calamity Jane. LOL

I'm not usually a very mushy person, but Black Jack's story made me cry.
I hate it when we have to have critters put down.

I had named your kittens before I read all the way down to the post where you already named them.

I was going for Molly and Flossie for the babies (I thought they were girls)
and for the momma Moxie.

just wanted you to know I thought of them.

So sorry you lost one, but chances are you've saved the lives of the other two. How are they, personality-wise? Are they acting feral, or did you get them early enough?

One of the kittens (first one caught) is very sweet now that hes seen that mama isnt scared of me. The other one is very scared but will let me hold and pet him and only hisses when I first grab him.

Sounds like they'll get over it, then. Congratulations!

I actually just found your thread in the rescue forum and read through it. It's so awesome of you to take these little guys and their mom in.
