hey guys.. this is the situation. My gf's uncle doesnt want his cat, and he said if noone wanted it, he was going to release it in the wild. I just didnt want that to happen, so i decided to Take her in.(ill be getting her today) The REASON why he didnt want the cat was because, she pees and poos EVERYWHERE in the house.. I really dont want that to happen lol.. but if it DOES happen in my house, im sure my dad wont let me keep her either.. so can someone tell me why? The cat might be pooing and peeing everywhere? Is there anyway to train her?

EDIT: btw.. Her uncle found the cat in the street to begin wiht..He has had her for a year now.. and that WHOLE YEAR.. shes been peeing and pooing e verywhere. Also.. the cats not spayed and shes already 5/6 years old
Is it too late to do it?

Get her in now to be spayed. She may have some additional problems waiting this late, so be prepared financially in case. It could be "marking territory" since she's not spayed; she could have UTI, etc.

I would confine her to one small room for awhile with a deep litter box. Supervise her when out of the room. She should start using the pan.

Now if you've had her spayed and nothing else is wrong, and she still continues to pee/poop in other places, it may be best to try and find her a nice farm to live on. Some cats just refuse to live in a house and she might be one of them. Better to live on a farm then to be put to sleep cause she's stubborn about litter pans!
