Pointless talents

I can do that... and the star trek thing. Having loose joints I can contort myself in all kinds of ways.
I've mentioned it before, but I am a walking, talking version of the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com). If, in the middle of a movie or television show, you suddenly feel as if you know that actor from somewhere, I can tell you which movie or TV show you've seen him in, no matter how obscure he might be. I can also do this with directors and producers, although I can't recognize them on sight -- I can just tell you who directed/produced what. And, just by listening to them, I can tell you who composed the music in the movie we're watching (I don't know TV composers, though).
J can remember pithy quotes from every movie or television show he's ever seen, so between the two of us we're pretty pointlessly talented at filling in movie blanks. We're also fairly hopeless at doing each other's jobs: I cannot remember movie quotes (unless they were really outstanding, like Mel Gibson screaming "Freeeeeedooooommmm!" in Braveheart or something frequently repeated, like the punchline of an Austin Powers gag), and J cannot remember actors, directors or composers.
We must only use these powers for good.

Ooh ooh! I forgot something! I can wiggle my nostrils and make my ears go back and forth, and I can raise each eyebrow separately from the other one - and alternate them really fast!

By the way - I can spread the toes on my right foot but not my left! I wonder if there's some genetic link to handedness there?

Okay, I just took my shoes off at work to test this, but I can spread the toes on both my feet about the same width. Fortunately no one saw me do this.

When I was younger (I can still do it, btw), my dad and I used to have toe-pinching wars! We would sit opposite each other on the couch, and pinch each other with our toes.

Well, I can also pick things up with my toes, put my legs behind my head, etc (not bad for someone that will be 54 this summer)! And if you get me squiffy enough, I can sing! Won tons of singing competitions when I was young, and sang in a rock band! I know...........hard to believe! But I raised my kids to think that breaking into show tunes and dancing around the dinner table was normal!
They think that any home that wasn't like that was somehow deprived!

This isn't my talent (thank goodness!) but my little cousin used to be able to walk on her toes. Not her tiptoes, but her toes...like Rose did in "Titanic"! When we were kids, I once bet her half of her easter basket she couldn't walk from the living room to the kitchen and back...and she won! Of course, my aunt was so mad at me! She was 7 I was 10, what can I say! No, she never went into ballet...I think her feet were ruined after that!

I can spread my toes way far apart. However! I didn't realise this was a "talent" until I saw a podiatrist for an ingrown nail and he asked me to try, and was impressed that I could. I was like, why ask me to do it if you didn't think I could?
