We got hit with some hard rain last week and I snapped a few pics before the clouds let loose. It really just poured on us for a bit. Of course it was right at the time DH was driving home from work!
I was praying he'd beat it home, but he just had to take his time.

This pic was out my front door standing on my deck:

This was out the back door, the direction the storm was coming from:

You can see the birds didn't get all worked up though:

I'm not sure if I moved or if it was just the wind with this pic:

Another of the tree:

At first Noodles was curious but then she went and hid for a few. I love seeing her reflection in the door!:

Mooch hid! I kept opening the door back up and she kept shutting it! I got their kennels out just in case!:

Here's a video of when it started raining. It's about a minute long and you can really see it just coming down. And you can get an idea of what it sounds like when it pours on my metal roof!
This is nothing compared to some storms we've had though!

I'm about 1 1/2 hrs south of you. I think you got this storm too. It was either Thursday or Wednesday I think.

counting down until graduation!!
I LOVE storms! Last Tuesday night, we got a nice one that brought in this beautiful weather we have been experiencing since. One clap of thunder was so loud that it scared the
out of me and all of the animals. I was kind of embarrased of myself for jumping... I just wasnt' expecting it.

She's a character all right! Noodles too! Shortly after that pic was taken DH got home and she was still in there. While I was in the other room Noodles walked over and pushed that kennel right off the other one with Mooch still in it! Mooch was just like 'Hey! Whatcha do that for!?!'

About a year or 2 ago we had a huge storm roll through and I HAD to go to the bathroom. Well we got one clap so bad I did almost fall off the toilet!
I was sure it had struck that telephone pole you see in the pics. It's like 2-3' from my house! Litterally! But there are those tall trees nearby too.

Thats yet another thing I dislike about his place. That pole is right by my bedroom. That tree, which when DH first had this place had a large portion that needed trimming because it was dead and hanging over our house! And it was hanging over DH's bedroom! This park doesn't do tree maintenance...it's the renters responsibility. And that tree is technically on our neighbor's lot. I felt bad because she'd just moved in herself but we had to complain several times and DH even offered to pay half, but eventually she got it done herself. Not before a few storms knocked some big branches into the street though!
