Dh is a was a mechanic for 4 years. He said $7k for a car that old with that many miles is a bit much. The airbag thing is a sign too. I would try to look around Nat

I have a '92 Honda Accord. It only has 85,000 miles on it. It's never had any major work, except the air conditioner compressor replaced. I love that car. They seem to last forever. If a Honda is what you really want, you should keep looking. I'm not familiar with Canadian money, but $7000 does seem like quite a bit....and I'd also be worried about the airbag light.

Good luck! I'm sending car finding vibes your way!!!

My car that just died was an 89 accord with only 180000kms. I have to get rid of it now because It won't even pass an etest, so I can't keep it on the road much longer. It has served me well for a few years, and I love it..but now its at the point where my mechanic says its not worth putting money into

The $7k Canadian is decent for that car if it is in good condition and won't need expensive repairs, not only is the $$ different but the price of cars is generally higher here too

I would be concerned about the airbag light as airbag's are very expensive to replace. I would have the owner have that checked out with proof from a reputable mechanic (with name and phone # so you could check).

We asked her about the airbag light and she played very dumb.."oh really, I haven't seen that light before"..so I doubt she would get it looked at for me.

On a good note, my dad offered to pay for half a rental car for a month if I want
Not sure if I can afford the other half though
But I I can probably swing a week, and then I will drive all around until I stinkin find a car!

Thats nice of him!

I agree with the others tho, it just seems like $7000 for a car w/ that many miles is a little spendy... BUT- its your car, I know you'll make the right choice!

I can't believe how hard it is to find a Honda Civic in your area, thats crazy!

Natalie is giving the price in Canadian dollar and kilometers ......

The price in the US would be about $6,420 with 103,000 miles. Is that a good deal for the car she is looking at?
