I just got myself a kitty cat, 1.5 year old white longhair named Gus. I live in a fairly small apartment, but he has lived in a studio before so it shouldn't be a problem. The only place that I don't allow him to explore is my closet because I don't want his fur all over my clothes, but it drives him nuts! He paws under the door, makes the most pitiful noises, and whenever I open the closet to get something he bolts in and hides - I have to go in and drag him out! I don't understand this fascination and would like to stop him from going in there...any suggestions? He's very timid so I don't like to startle him, but I need at least one fur-free place to keep my things!
