..because we know they all have some quirks.

One of Nikita's is that sometimes she'll meow lots and lots at me and pace around where her food is, even though there's plenty for her to eat.

What she wants me to do then is to go to her feeding area and sit or lie on the floor next to her dry food dish and she'll start purring madly and eat a few kibbles while I pet her a bit.

When she's in that mood she won't eat until I show up, she'll just keep meowing very loudly.

I have no idea why she does it and she doesn't do it all the time, just occasionally.

So share a completely off the wall thing that your cat does

Jainy likes to sleep on my bed during the day. A few days ago she started to do something wierd when I get home. She comes up to me and meyawnurrs (LOL meow purr and yawn at the same time.) It is a bit strange but very cute. She also likes to chew on the covers of books.

Gweeky sits at the top of the basement stairs with just his head poking thru the cat door on the big door. Merlin meow to be let in the room and as soon as he is in, meows to leave it. Peepers loves to groom my DH's arm and Gabby (who is a big cat) thinks he is invisable when he hides behind a tiny object.

Oh man I could be here all day... I'll just give you a couple of Stumpy's oddest things.

Stumpy has to lick the water off my shower cap after a shower. Every time I get out, she races into the bathroom, and jumps onto the counter to lick the shower cap and attack the water droplets dripping off. What's really funny is I wash my hair every second day, so don't use the shower cap then. But she still races in and sits there waiting for non-existent water to fall. She'll even tap the shower cap with her paw just hoping water will magically appear. Sometimes I wet the shower cap for her just so she can play...

She also loves leaping up a particular wall. It's a wall that juts out at the top of the stairs (to the right of this picture)

She races up to it, and leaps up it as high as she can, with her front and back legs around the wall and tries to hang on for a second, then jumps down and walks off as if nothing happened. So weird.

This probably isn't weird but Bella and Thunder come running when the can opener is running. They know when it's dinnertime. And one time they were chasing each other and my steps are over the trash can ( u can see through them ) and  Thunder flew into the trash can. Cats are just too funny.

Cassie likes to spin in circles (like she's chasing her tail) while I prepare her food. Sometimes she'd hit her head on the wall as she spins, but it doesn't stop her!! She reminds me of a very excited dog!

If I don't get out of bed fast enough in the mornings, Monet would run from one side of the bed to the other, hoping over me, and sometimes pouncing on my hips as he jumps back and forth. This can get quite annoying, especially if I just want to relax for a while!

I guess they all have their little habits --- that we love of course! Tippytoes loves our bed and around 7:30 - 8 pm she runs into the bedroom and starts yowling. I know it's her way of telling us she wants us to go to bed. Tony has an alarm clock in his head and 6 a.m every morning he starts banging on the bedroom door --- he wants his Fancy Feast! Angel is our little primadonna - she doesn't do anything that doesnt have to do and wants to be waited on. While the other cats can push a door open (when it's partially ajar) --- Angel just sits there and waits for room service!

Holly has many different habits that make us laugh.

Like how she has to stick her entire face into the water fountain.  Her love of "age inappropriate toys".  Today she was batting around a lightbulb that had come out of the socket.  How she runs to hide when the doorbell rings.  How she likes to be covered up.  And she'll purr madly when she's covered up.

The silly things she does has made it easier for us as a family.  6 months ago we had 3 cats.  Jasper was put down in August- he had cancer.  We lost Sneaky Pie a month ago (yea- 10 days before Christmas).  She had heart issues- and I'm thinking it was that because she was gone- fast.

Grover makes a cute cooing noise (like a dove) when he goes to the litterbox sometimes. I imagine him saying "Here ye, here ye, I will now fashion a turtle in this sand."

Great topic!!

Tango steals my earrings or necklaces the minute I set them on the counter if I'm not paying attention. He often likes to sleep under a blanket On me. He'd dig at the blanket to let me know he wants underneath.

Buddy presses his neck into my mouth asking me to kiss him on his neck. He really loves that. He also loves to drape himself around my neck then press his face and neck into my face, again in an attempt to get me to kiss him on neck.

Spike constantly presses his nose/mouth against my nose. He also uses all 4 of his paws when kneading at me. I call him my OCD cat. If I talk funny to him, he'd turn his head upside down!!

Pepper meows silently like crazy as I fill bathtub up with water cuz she gets so excited. The minute I get into the tub, she'd jump up on the edge of the tub and proceed to drink the hot water. Because of her, spike and tango likes to drink from the tub. I've had to give up bubble bath and oils!

Heidi always has to squeeze herself (which says a lot cuz she's so fat- even on a diet)in between my side and couch pillows to cuddle with me. She'd also lay on her side next to her food bowl sometimes and with a paw, shed sweep a piece out onto the floor then eat.

Zebra always start digging at my legs as soon as iget into bed to tell me to hmmmm spread my legs so she can nestle between them. Also when she wants me to pet her, shed crouch in front of me, give me a certain look and meow a bit. As I approach her, shed take off running then stop and look back at me to get me to keep approaching her. She'd do that several times before shed let me get her.

Man, reading this makes me realize that I'm definitely their slave! Lol

My new 5 month old kitten Apollo has a unique way of entering one of our litter boxes.  It is a covered box with a door on the front of it.  There is a small opening in the top of the box that used to be covered by a piece of rubber.  The rubber kept falling into the box and I just decided to leave it off.  Apollo uses the opening in the top of the box as an entrance.  He also sits on the side of my tub and talks to me when I take a shower.

Tegato my 17 year old meows at me from the side of my bathtub whenever I take a bath.

Starbuck my 6 year old sits in my bathroom sink and meows at me sometimes while I am taking a shower or a bath. She meows at me to pet her with my damp hands after I am done bathing.  She also likes to be held like a baby by her daddy so she can groom his face.

Sonny my 3 year old greets me like a dog when I get home from work every night.  He meows at me until I sit down on the couch so he can jump in my lap.  Sonny also likes to check-up on his little Apollo who is on meds for ear mites and a cold right now. He runs up to him and gives him kisses when he sneezes,

Thinking about your kitty kissing the other one when he sneezes is adorable! It made me smile when I read it.

I love watching him do that too.  Apollo has been a sleepy head today.  He is lounging on a chair and Sonny keeps checking on him.

Cagney is intensely licking and biting a priority mail envelope, as I type.

My cat Pinafore likes to play fetch with nerf bullets. She'll approach us with one in her mouth and meow as she drops it, so we obligingly throw it a few times for her. When she gets fed up with fetch, she'll drop the bullet into the nearest shoe and play 'fish the bullet out of the shoe' :) it's adorable.
