well last night while on a 6 hour drive to my oh mums house we stoped for a rest when we stopped i got out as i was busting for the toliet and too my suprise inside the toilet was a litter of 8 kittens in a cardboard box
they were not feral so someone must of dumped them i think they are around 2-3 weeks they all seem healthy if not little dirty not fleas or ear mites, they were not crying so i think they were feed before being dumped, luckly i always have kmr , bottles syringes blankets and other stuff in the back of my car because of fostering stray and feral kittens. so now im looking after 8 kittens and i will be hopefully keeping one or two, these will most likley be the ones with most problems because if i dont keep them people around here will not foster them and i dont like to see kittens grow up in a cage not matter how well they are looked after. here is a picture i took when i found them not very clear but you can see one very clear with hes eyes open the rest have not got the eyes open fully yet.

i have found that black cats have become the next best thing around this area so im having to really try hard to find them good homes. people are just asking for them but what really annoys me when you show them in the direction of a rescue they say no we want one from a home enviroment. :censor::censor::censor: what does it matter thoses kittens in the rescue are most likley more healthy than a kitten they can buy from a byb. Thats the only problem that i hae really come across with black cats, are their any other problems???

They look like DMH..domestic medium haired kittens.

First of all, thank you for taking these little darlings in! From your description of what you carry in your car, it sounds like you do this on a regular basis!

I know that many shelters will not adopt black cats/kittens around Halloween -I guess there are still alot of stupid people around who associate them with that holiday. I actually couldn't adopt my girl Sophie until (almost) Thanksgiving, because of the shelter "no adoption" policy - then all the kittens in the shelter contracted a URI, and that slowed everything down!
Please keep us posted on how these sweeties are doing!

I just can't believe someone would dump those beautiful babies

Bless you for taking them in! If you weren't so far away I would take one. Black kitties are my absolute favorite.

Poor wee things - who could be so cruel as to dump them. Chances are those same folks kept the mom and she will not be neutered so will have more poor little homeless kitties.

You are wonderful to have taken them in. Keep us posted on how you and they are doing.
