Hello to all you cat lovers. I am so happy to find this forum. I belong to two other forums and have found forums to be one of the most interesting things to do online.

I have two "babies" age four, Smokey and Tigger .

Yes, Smokey and Tigger are in charge around here as anyone who hears my answering machine message is informed.

Also, how does one get an avatar here? Do you get to choose your own pictures to use for that?

To get an avatar, click the User CP button at the top, then Edit Options. At the bottom of the page is your avatar options. As a kitten, you have limited options. When you reach Adult Cat (I think) you get more options. Once you reach 100 posts you can make your own avatar. Anne set it up that way to let people who are here a lot be able to have their own, but if someone only posts a few times their image doesn't take up space on the server. It seems like a lot, but you would be surprised how quickly the posts add up!

One other option, for future use, once you reach 1500 posts you can make up your own title. Kinda fun!

Thanks, I now have a kitten avatar. Hope I get up to 100 soon, so I can get a cat picture avatar!
