Most of you were born after My Girls
I must be from the stage coach days
I finally found a song that fits!!! This is Sad here

WTH is a whiffletree,

The old gray mare,
She ain't what she used to be
Ain't what she used to be,
Ain't what she used to be
The old gray mare,
She ain't what she used to be
Many long years ago.

Many long years ago,
Many long years ago,
The old gray mare,
She ain't what she used to be
Many long years ago.

The old gray mare,
She kicked on the whiffletree,
Kicked on the whiffletree,
Kicked on the whiffletree
The old gray mare,
She kicked on the whiffletree
Many long years ago.

Many long years ago,
Many long years ago,
The old gray mare,
She kicked on the whiffletree
Many long years ago.

"Careless Whisper" by Wham! featuring George Michael.

I have to say, I know of George Michael only as that guy who got caught with his pants down. I looked the song up on iTunes and listened to the sample. Sounds like elevator music.

1958 ... "It's All in the Game" by Tommy Edwards
Brook Benton Lyrics
It's All In The Game
Carl Sigman & Charles G. Dawes

Many a tear has to fall
But it's all in the game

All in the wonderful game
That we know as love

You had words with him
And your future's looking dim
But these things your heart can rise above

Once in a while he won't call
But it's all in the game

Soon he'll be there by your side
With a small bouquet

And he'll kiss your lips
And caress your fingertips
And your heart will fly away

You had words with him
And your future's looking dim
But these things your heart can rise above

Once in a while he won't call
But it's all in the game

Soon he'll be there by your side
With a small bouquet

And he'll kiss your lips
And caress your fingertips
And your heart will fly away

Of course, since you were only 1 day old, you would not remember this song - but I was 10 years old and I do!

WTH is a whiffletree,

whif·fle·tree(hwfl-tr, wf-)
n. Northeastern U.S.
The pivoted horizontal crossbar to which the harness traces of a draft animal are attached and which is in turn attached to a vehicle or an implement. Also called singletree, swingletree; also called regionally whippletree.

I was born on October 15 and my song is "A tree in the Meadow" sung by Margaret Whiting - that makes me pretty old too!
Did you know that the old gray mare is a Red Hat Song - maybe we should start a TCS Red Hat Society!
